    I had building experience before I entered the field, but there is just so much to learn in an accelerated time frame. My experience in design has paid dividends getting to the position I am in now overseeing two seven-figure budget jobs.

    Still learning though. Constantly building towards the next goal (overseeing 8-figure budget projects).

    Just remember...The only difference between a $100,000 job and a $10,000,000 job is the number of zeros after the $.

    Obviously there is more work involved with the $10M job, but the point is that they all need to be treated the same and the process doesn't change from one to the next.

    That sounds about right. I've always worked on higher end projects with expensive materials and decent contractors. Now it's replicating the same level of finish across more units. It's exciting because I get an actual say in implementation, which differs from design.

    I'm enjoying myself, even if I'm a little stressed.

    Yeah they're good guys-- Zach and Drew are both getting married in the next year or so though.

    And yeah, Cedar Falls, Iowa isn't a hot bed of activity so drinking heavily is a way of life there.

    The thing is, all the guys listed in that post are all good friends of mine. I know Bongajon was a polarizing figure. We sat next to each other at the Bres for 3 years and traveled all over for away games in 2009.
