I just got back from the store, bought 500 tickets. I'm going car shopping when I get out of work, figure I'll at least win a few hundred thousand.

Just bought $60 worth of tickets. The only difference between this and flushing 3 twenties down the toilet is that I have a chance to get $2 back by hitting the power ball on one of the tickets.

As to the second point, a share of the top prize is nothing to quibble over.

I think I would give a bunch to my friend. He just e-mailed me from Italy and said he lost all of his money and his wallet/credit cards and needs me to wire some to him.

Same thing happened with a friend of mine a couple days ago. I just wired over a couple grand. I trust him though, so I'm sure he'll pay it all back when he gets back in town.
