I think it helps having a stable and successful football program. Kind of like politics, no one wants to give money to a candidate that isn't showing progress, has instability in campaign, a history of scandal, or isn't winning. MSU is looking more and more like a frontrunner and I bet the $$$ has started to trickle in, even where it never had before.

I think this is right on, I'm certainly not a hotshot billionaire, but I made my first donation the day after MSU ponied up to keep Narduzzi. And with the way everything is running right now, from the president to the AD, to the coaches, I feel really good about donating more and more and I would wager that a lot of Spartans are feeling the same.
