For those posters without an avatar (you know, the little picture under your name demonstrating how cool you are) is it by choice, laziness or just that you don't know how to use one?

I had to check to see if I had one. Because I'm basically lazy and at the same time, I wouldn't know how to do it again.
Mine is the Spartan from the old board. Glad I did it, but don't expect me to exert any kind of effort again.

Avatars are pretty stupid. You're not missing anything. If I could turn them off I would.

It was cool to have an avatar until everyone else had one. Now it's cool to not have an avatar.
It's like being a hipster.
I'm going to find a new ironic image for my avatar now.

I don't need one and I'm too lazy to find a good one anyway. The vBulletin RCMB didn't have avatars, and I liked that version of tRCMB better

I like them for identification purposes. You can quickly see who the person posting is if they post a lot. Like TB or yourself.

1. I don't feel the need to insert a picture of a hot chick to prove I like hot chicks
2. I don't see the point of posting any type of Spartan logo on a board full of Spartans
3. I'd rather not add a picture of some other man to represent how I view myself
4. General laziness in coming up with any idea not covered by those in 1, 2, and 3 above

There's about 50 things I'd change about this place, avatars are way down the list. I do miss the old ones, though, and had mine for quite a while. Finally, decided to change. Again, it's not a huge deal compared to the other obvious issues of this place.
