Return it and if they will not reverse the charges file a dispute with your credit card company outlining what happened. They will reverse the charges and ding the merchant. If it happens often enough Visa/Matercard will pull their cc capabilities. I have had to do this a several times when companies failed to deliver (travel, tickets, product never delivered, my daughters soccer camp, etc) and have never had an issue.

Go to the kiosk. Take pictures of everything (to see if they have a visible return policy sign). You might be able to use that to dispute the charges (with your credit card company).

Absolutely talk to the mall manager/GM. They can put the squeeze on kiosks. There probably is language in their temp. lease that allows their deposit to be used for customer refunds.

This. Exactly this. And don't wait. Do it ASAP. Among other reasons, that kiosk will likely be gone right after the holidays.

Tell her to not by from Shady Dearbonites. They are they only people at the kiosks at 12 oaks and if you cant tell from the way they literally grab women that they are shady as shit then there's no helping her.

Wait, I just noticed, they took you for like $25 (if you compare relative flat iron prices, features, etc.)

1.)Get good at disguises. You've already partially blown this by going back and exposing yourself to the racketeers.
2.)Quit your job and try to get hired at the kiosk and start really learning the inside ropes and how this operation works. Who's the "big man", where do the shipments come from, what's the overseas connection, etc. Maybe you'll eventually get hooked up for a meeting with "the greek".
3.)If you can get to the main supplier, cut the kiosk out of the picture, take their mall corner over and deal directly with the main supply trunk, you may have to use some muscle for this, make sure you know someone named "Ice" or "Snoop" who can put the pressure on.
4.)Once you've diverted the mainline supply chain, make the kiosk boys an offer they can't refuse, give you a new Flat Iron or you'll continue to divert the flat iron supply and they'll be cut off. Tell them to talk to Ice/Snoop if they "got a prollem'".

This should work if you can work all the angles just right. With any luck, you'll get your $25 bucks back or a brand new flat iron.
