Agreed. Recruiting has been abysmal for the last two years despite back to back 11 win seasons. Now? It's nonexistent. The blowers will cheer on the next two star diamond in the rough who roushar wil coach up in a season or two.

Honestly who don't you like in this years recruiting class?
Reschke- stud. Looks alot like Max.
Holmes- stud. Could end up better than Bell.
Shelton- stud. Playmaker.
Terry- stud. Look at his fucking stats!
Williams- stud. Can play anywhere.
Hicks- stud. Plan A target since day 1.
Finley- stud. Opened up Cass Tech. Had offers from OSU, Wisconsin. He was arguably best OL at many of the camps.
Salmon- raw but explosive. Same thing they said about Jerel out of HS.
Cooper- stud. Owned many of the top OL guys at camp.
Jones- stud. Absolute beast at OLB. without questions going to be a starter on this D in a few years.
Powell- stud. Playmaker. Most underrated guy in our class.
Kilgore- good hands and frame. Could develop into the possession receiver this team needs.
Chmura- don't know yet. Injured alot. But he has the potential.
Hicks- stud. Plan A target from day 1.There are a few needs that we have to fill. But you can't tell me the guys we have in the fold are not good gets.
Look at the 14 class- all our commits are top guys. You know Harris is just going to poop on whoever tries to cover him. Another Bullough another guy from Cass with a lot of speed.
Your gloom and doom suggests that you haven't been following recruiting as closely as a tanfan should

lWe really got the shaft on the scheduling end having to close out with Minny. Everyone else has rivalry game or high profile matchup for the last week. OSU-UM IU-Purdue Wisc-PSU Neb-Iowa Ill-NW.
This is how it should have been laid out. Wisc-Minny Iowa-Neb Ill-NW IU-Purdue OSU-PSU MSU-UM.
Read talk that after reallignment UM and OSU might end up in same division. Makes it sound like UM would go the leaders and they would become our protected rival.
OSU, PSU, IU, Purdue, UM, Rutgers, Maryland
Wisc, Neb, MSU, Iowa, Minny, Ill, NW.
This would allign the league East/West and keep cometitive balance considering the PSU situation.

i'm guessing MSU scores more than they have all year in conference and wins 31-17 and we all get even more pissed off at the thought of what could have been w/ 5 conference losses by a total of 13 points. it's insane how close we were all season to being a contender in conference. games ripped away from us week after week and stalling offense and untimely defensive collapses after playing lights out for 59 minutes. it's hard to fathom how much has gone wrong.
But this saturday? A few things will finally go right and we'll go win a flea bag bowl - just enough to make everyone an apparently much needed dose of humility and hunger for 2013.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

um and OSU will NEVER be in the same division. It's ALL about sending one of those 2 teams to the NC game as far a Delaney is concerned. He wants the CCG to be um vs OSU every frickin' year, or he wants one of those 2 teams to be a 2nd place team in their division so they can jump the loser of the CCG and get the BCS bowl. That's god's plan.

If all our guys are 'studs', then what does it say about the kids committed to the 30+ programs who are ranked ahead of us in the recruiting rankings?
Employ some perspective. Our class is not nearly as exciting as your making it out to be.

SCum and OSU will be in the same division with the next realignment. I can't see it being possible having them in opposite sides without making Nebraska go into an eastern division. OSU, UM, PSU, Rut, MD, IU, Pur, in the East. Neb, Wisc, MSU, Iowa, NW, Illinois, Minn in the West.

I think his breakdown was a bit optimistic but you also need to enjoy a little perspective. Damion Terry will likely be a 4/5 star when the final rankings are announced. Cooper and Williams should be at least 4 stars. That would bump us into the top 25 when considering average star rating on rivals (which is the only ranking that counts). Can't really recruit 30 guys when you only have 14 scholarships. 2013 is a very good class I believe. 2014 needs to get moving and that's where my concern is.
So far so good, both our ranked recruits have a good shot at being upgraded to 5 stars (Drake Harris and Deon Drake) and our unranked recruit is a Bullough, but as we know they tend to be pretty good. We just need more OL recruits.

Just to make people feel even more depressed: We beat Georgia in our bowl game. Georgia is currently ranked 3rd and has a chance at a national title. We are 5-6 and have a 3 page thread asking "Will we beat Minnesota?"
Sigh.

Makes total sense and it seems like the obvious move. Then you can add UNC to the east and Kansas to the west when they come in. Delaney being a UNC alum and former Bball player could usher that move in as the ACC is going through massive change. Under that arrangement the B1G would become THE basketball conference that no one could match.
FSU is looking to get out of the ACC and Clemson might be the other school the SEC may try to poach. The ACC will start to look like the old BE if they lost Maryland, Clemson, FSU and UNC.
