    Also, Duke, Cuse, UConn and UCLA's tradition is a once in a lifetime coach.

    Dearest John,

    I know it seems hard, but if you stress rebounding and defense it is achievable. Also, and maybe you didn't know this, but you are allowed to shoot within 20 feet of the basket. In fact, your tall guys can even shoot right by the basket.

    The kid is a heck of a player and everyone UM fan wants him to come to UM. I think the biggest thing is MSU was on him early and told him he could play both sports right away. a lot of school seemed to cave late on the both sports thing when he made it clear he was going to play both.

    He even said recently that he was undecided if he was going to play both.

    Might as well tell the kid he can go ahead and play both sports. Most kids, no matter how good they are, will be able to figure out on their own once they get to campus that the truth is, you really do need to choose no matter where you go. The FB team is playing until January 1. Kind of hard to play basketball like that, unless you just like going to practice and sitting on the bench.

I have a buddy of mine who is an ER doc who swears he is convinced some of their players are on PEDs because of some odd lab values from ER visits. I have to say their kids are huge - middling three stars who put on a lot of weight rather quickly.

    I guess time will tell but his suspicion got me thinking. Just look at game film and on the defensive side of the ball especially it will seem plausible.

    Alternatively our strength and conditioning the last few years could just suck.

    A friend from U of M (student), was giving me shit about how much better the atmosphere, culture, etc. of Michigan basketball is over MSU and how they beat us three times in a row. I quickly reminded him that no one will ever regard Michigan as a power program until they take down their "NIT CHAMPIONS 19XX" banners down.

    Then proceeded to watch as their team got curb stomped by OSU in the BTT.
