Lupe Fiasco is one of the most underrated rappers out there imo. He actually raps about real world stuff, instead of drugs, alcohol, and money. This guy and other rappers beat out "rack rack city bitch. 10 10 10 20s on your titties bitch" anyday. One of his songs, words I Never Said, is attached.

Agreed. The imagery he uses in Daydreaming' is incredible. He is actuall working on Food & Liquor 2 which I can't wait for to come out.

Yeah Lupe is definetely underrated.
You should check out Jon Connor from Flint also. He has a Show goes on Freestyle that i believe is better then Lupe's. He is also releasing a mixtape on April 13th that pays homage to Eminem's best tracks. He has released 3 songs off of it so far: Cleaning Out my Closet, The Way I am, and Soldier. He also raps about real stuff and speeks out against guns and drugs. Give this a listen and downlaod if you want.

Was a great song. I say "was" because I completely, thoroughly played it out last year when it came out.

I agree with everyone above. The Cool and F&L were way better then Lasers. I think he tried to get too political with Lasers and it just didn't work.

The reason why Lasers wasn't as good as his first two albums was a large dispute with his record label. They wanted him to go one way and he wanted to continue down the lyrical path he was on. The result was a forced, akward, pop album, which sounded nothing like his first two albums.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have an entire playlist just of his songs. There are about 70 of them on there and I can listen through the whole thing without even thinking about hitting the skip button. Especially with Season 2, that was like a work of art.

Lasers was garbage, disappointing at best. Sorry. The Cool was amazingly brilliant, but at this point he needs to recover on his next album.
It's his ATLiens, and I expect him to make an Aquemini-like return.

Yeah, I did some research on that earlier. I found that some people think that Words I Never Said was a shot at the record label.

I have been on Lupe for a long time now. Yes as mentioned Lasers was bad, but you should also check out the mixtape Enemy of the State. He is just insane on it.

He hated that he was forced to change it up and he hated that Atlantic made his friends pay to be featured on the album. "The show goes on" is about how he hates Atlantic records. And he's still with Atlantic, which is why food and liquor 2 isn't out yet. They want him to make it more mainstream, after they promised they wouldn't touch it after seeing the backlash of LASERS
Also the hit songs "nothing on you" and "airplanes" were by Lupe originally until Atlantic made him give it up to a more mainstream artist
