The American roster is pathetic. Why don't they take this as seriously as Olympic or Canada/World Cup hockey?

The pitching isn't great, but the lineup isn't that bad. Should've produced a lot more last night. Still, looks like Canada is going to bail them out.

Wow. Bench clearing brawl between Canada and Mexico. Canadians up 9-3 in the top of the ninth, and they bunt! (Not too unreasonable given tiebreaker scenarios). Mexico throws inside on the next pitch, get warned, and then nails Rene Tosoni on the next pitch in the back.

Benches clear, and this was reminiscent of the old Yankees - Red Sox brawl. Several individual fights break out. Mexican fan in the stands hits Canadian pitching coach with a water bottle.

Well, it's a play in game now at 4:00 between the US and Canada. The loser is going home and the winner is moving on with Italy to play either Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic in the next round in Miami. Derek Holland on the mound for the Americans.

You would figure with all the lefties in the Canada lineup, that Holland vs Canada would be a great match up. Instead he is all over the field.

The Italians are beating the Dominicans 4-0 in the top of the third. Another three run shot from Colabello, and they are adding on to the possibly culturally insensitive celebrations. This is great. Would also be great for the US!
