All along we've heard that Parker is sort of a different type of superstar. Obviously he's a very humble and focused kid. I think that bodes very well for us when contrasted with the typical 16 year old phenom who could get carried away by the flash and cash of the Caliparis and Ks of the world.

With Jabari Parker being possibly a once-a-decade recruit and the scholarship crunch otherwise at MSU, I think MSU is in a position to make recruits wait on them. We have room to add a player right now in 2013 and still take Parker anyway I'm not too worried about it. Sure, you run a risk of missing out on guys but you can't plan for every contingency. When it's all said and done, I bet MSU fans are thrilled with the 2013 and 2014 classes.

Is Zeigler a "terrific" player now? I'm sure he's very good but MSU has numerous options in '13/'14. As a fan, I understand the urge to jump at the next intriguing player but I'm glad Izzo is handling things cautiously. Recruiting has some poker and politics to it. The lack of commits in 2013 doesn't make me nervous one bit.
