    I agree wholeheartedly that who I want to win the game has no impact on the game. I want MSU to win championships in every sport in every year. Outright champs preferably but shared if need be. So that's why I wanted UM to win, so another MSU teams wins another championship in another season. SPARTICUSS/spartyon1/optiking/passtherock/tacosaladrocks care more about UM losing than MSU winning. It's that age old, played out, blue wall caricature and this dumbass willingly obliges it. It's like picture if the iron canoe girls at UM, stereotype that's almost too accurate to be real.

    "Sure, I would have liked to have another Big Ten championship, but I like getting them when I earn them," Izzo said. "I don't need anybody else earning them for me."

    "You've got yourself a blue-collar coach who hasn't been given anything," Izzo told the crowd. "And I don't want anything from anyone else in this state."

    How many of our titles are shared? Did we "earn" all of those?

    Coach is saying this because things didnt fall our way. Had they, I doubt he would be talking about backing into it. He'd be talking like he did last year about winning the BTT to validate it.

    Thx for the assist Spartyirish/clemenza. I love winning titles. I don't care if IU was playing UM, UW, OSU, the Harlem Globetrotters, Athletes in Action, Or the Pennsylvania State Penitentiary Fighting Sanduskys, I wanted them to lose. Yea it sucks that UM wouldve had a share but fuck them, we still have Tom Izzo and will be the dominant instate program going on even after TI has retired and completed his masterpiece for his predecessor to build on. They got a share last yr and embarrassed the conference in the tournament, let history repeat itself there while we make like William Sherman and burn our way to Atlanta.

    Anyone who has this mindset could never have even played mite hockey or little league baseball. Even the most menial level of competitor wants the best for his team regardless of what it means for some third party.

    The great Tom Izzo himself said he didn't want anything 'backdoor', yet you shallow hang a banner at all costs crowd keep bringing this up. Grow some and look to add championships the old fashion way, the Izzo way, the way that brings you real recognition. Let scUM be happy with falling backwards into championships. Izzo and MSU have higher standards.

  • My Walvarine co-worker just told me he was rooting for scUM to lose so he didn't have to share a championship with MSU. And something about he didn't want to hear Valenti talk about playing for co-championships. Such a strange fanbase.
