It's ok. It is definitely a humbling experience.
I don't think I would appreciate my living situation as much if I hadn't grown up in Michigan.
I miss the sports obsession. I miss the warm summer rainfall. I miss autumn.
I don't miss the winter.
I don't miss having to drive to get anywhere halfway decent.
I don't miss the fact it's overcast in Winter.
I don't miss the fat people.
I don't miss the rednecks.
I don't miss the lack of mountains.
I don't miss being bored.
I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this.

I love this state. That being said, I'm not opposed to moving if the opportunity presents itself. I'm 28 and single in a job that seems to be VERY limited in opportunities. Im still relatively young. Gotta diversify myself. I would like to raise a family in MI though.

I've become nostalgic for Michigan recently. The only issue for me is that I never seem to get out of Battle Creek whenever I come back. Hell, when I lived there I never seemed to leave BC.
I need to spend some time on the coasts during the summer one of these days.
