in itunes it has a list of the top 40 songs. You'd download them, put them in a playlist, and drop them on the ipod.

I was thinking of something like that, but rather then downloading 40 individual songs, was there an album or playlist already there to just download.

And I was hoping for a Top 40 playlist like they play on the radio, so then I would consider most of them safe for a 9 year old since he will listen to the countdown already on the radio

is this serious that you dont know how to operate itunes? If you really think downloading 40 songs will be mindblowingly difficulty, just give it to the kid. Even at 5 he'll probably be able to do it better than you

Well most of the top songs on iTunes are rap (and probably ones you won't fine on a family radio station) so if you want to diwnload that stuff for your son make sure you pick the "clean" version. You will have to purchase each song separately, and you can preview each song before you buy it.

I'd try to trick him, and ask for some of his favorite songs, and go that route
