Wow. I know this is an opposing fanboard, but I don't think I said anything too polarizing. Some of you all are very sensitive.
Fwiw..I don't have any problem with MSUs championship last year. It was a big ten ship, bottom line, and probably should have been outright if it weren't for the joke that is e gordon gee, gene smith and jim delany.
Some of you sparties need to chill!

Note: We get to call ourselves whatever we want. On here, we're referred to as "Spartans". You know that it irritates us to be called sparties; you've been told so in this thread. Posting intentionally irritating posts is also known as trolling, and that's a great way to get banned. Consider this every UM fan in this thread's warning.

Coach D does an exceptional job slow playing the kids that really want to develop a relationship with the staff before committing. No argument there. Is there a way, however, to somehow determine which kids fit that mold. Some have fallen hook, line, and sinker for that UofM snake oil before that "relationship building" between them and our staff could mature. You guys know how a good car salesman refuses to let you go. These kids are 17 years old - they'll fall for that type of selling more times than not. I have to think there is some type of hybrid recruiting model to work here - long sell the types of kids that fit that profile and hard/quick sell the others. Certainly there are psychologist types that could profile these kids to really understand how best to sell them on the program. Maybe I'm just bitter that UofM got another couple four stars this weekend.

Things the UM propaganda machine won't tell you.
1.) MSU is 20-12 against B10 opponents under Mark Dantonio, good for the third best record during that time period, behind only PSU and OSU. So, it isn't like MSU is a one-year-wonder. And note to UM fans: MSU is not just competing against UM. Unlike your basketball program, MSU is beating UM and most of the B10, too.
2.) Even if MSU loses a recruit to UM, MSU will still sign players that can compete for B10 championships. JLS isn't the coach anymore. MSU is neither signing last minute super-sleepers from the Hudson Bay region of Canada nor bringing in the cast of Community from a Kansas junior college to man the back seven on defense. Shit, even with JLS leftovers and recruits without UM offers, Dantonio still managed to handle UM vaunted recruiting machine the last three years.
3.) UM always "out recruits" MSU in the national rankings. Hell, UM recruited better under RichRod than under Hoke-and-mirrors. Not to mention, RichRod actually won a few games against a non-Bill Lynch BCS school before arriving in Ann Arbor. And once you shut down the planetarium, Dantonio's recruits have often made bigger contributions than their stars would predict.
4.) Dantonio is not a system coach, and neither are Ferentz and Beilima. Unless, you consider a pro-set power offense and 4-3 zone blitzing scheme some strange anomaly; you know, a similar system to the one UM will now run and has run for decades--save for RichRod. If you want an example of a "system" team, look no further than resident Domino's Big Hole neighbor Johnny B Three.
4.) Brady Hoke neither coached nor player under Bo. With all this "Michigan Man" talk, you would think Weezy sprang from Bo's own loins. Unfortunately, the Muncie Man--er, Michigan Man--cut his teeth on the Indiana plains starring for legendary coach Dwight "Not Bo" Wallace. But he did coach UM's defense line. In related news, Bruce Tall is awaiting approval of his pending "Michigan Man" application.

Where did you hear this? Provide documentation bc I would love to eat my words.
Like I said, pretending to know recruiting strategies of Hoke is absurd. Maybe because Ms class is filling up and they are in on so many highly rated prospects kids are feeling the pressure to commit, but that's a whole diff story. I'm sure good ole Coach D would love to be in this spot and the whole rcmb would be pounding their chests just like mgoblog.
This whole thread smells like sour grapes to me.

It's pure spin. An attempt to hide his true feelings of anger. An attempt to Rationalize another recruiting battle lost. The spin doctors are engaging in damage control. They are better off remaining silent and not starting these threads. It's too obvious.
By the way, we lost two assistants: one was our offense corridonator and the other was our best recruiter. We still have the dc.
Pretending to know how hoke is selling his program is just plain idiotic. Place head in sand please.
