Again, you obviously have a different defintion of relatively common. Myself and I'm sure most non-UW fans don't consider 4 in 18 years any definition of common.

    Also, it would be 93, 98, 99, 10. The upcoming season '11.

although they did go 12-1 in 2006 when michigan was the only team to beat them thumbsup and they still came in 3rd.

    Ok...so how about this...

In that time frame it has been more common than any school not named Michigan or Ohio State. Better?

This makes me even MORE pissed.

IMHO - that beatdown by Alabama has provided many of our rivals negative recruiting fodder and took away momentum from an otherwise EXCELLENT season. Had we went to the Rose Bowl....we would have beat TCU. I maintain we were the better team than Wisconsin and would have been a far better match up with TCU.

Oh, that's precious. Do I need to explain to you about stubbed toes again?

They must have a different defintion of "relatively common" in Mad-town.

Top 6 things that are different in Madison:

    6) House of Pain, still as fly as they were in 1992
    5) Losing isn't really losing, it's more like "stubbing your toe."
    4) "Relatively common" means, over a decade ago.
    3) Beating Izzo> Final Four
    2) Bo Dracula's cast of The Phantom of the Flopera have "sound defensive technique"

And the number one thing that is different in Madison... is...

    1) The "regulation" basketball no one else in the country uses slap

    (and Iowa)

They have 2 championships in the last 10 years ('02 and '04)

Northwestern has 3 in your 18 year time frame.

UW has four, NU three, Iowa two.

At the top is OSU with ten (eight of which should probably be vacated), and scUM with five. So UW is still third in that time frame.

  • Hey O$U, you say Tressel was the only non-player to do anything wrong, but now you are dropping the $250K fine, along with letting him 'retire' (so now he can collect a state pension)?

I smell a buy-off so he won't implicate anyone else at O$U at the NCAA hearing.

Iowa has 2 in ten years, that's more frequent than Wisconsin's 1 in the same time period (last year).

Not really considering last year was the first one in 10 years. If we were in the year 2000 you would have a point because it would be 3 in 7 years. Its more than just 4 in 18. Its a front loaded 4 in 18.

Since how long ago the titles were won obviously doesn't matter Penn state (3 in 18) and Northwestern (3 in 18) should also be included.

I realize this is a petty argument but I'm enjoying it.

since they did this... we win the big 10 outright and we go to the rose bowl... bring on tcu...oh yeah.. that alabama beatdown on new years day never happened either.....

This. This is what pisses me off....Those dirty mutherfucking suckeyes deserve more. I hope the NCAA ass - rapes them into oblivion.

Anything less is a joke for us Spartans. We were the ones that got screwed hard because of the vest's taint. They should take the whole 10 fucking years he was there. and then it might make up for Woody Hayes's screw job they gave us back in the 70's.

Fuck, I hate them more than ND and scUM

  • This is how out of touch OSU is about this:

From Tweets from Columbus Dispatch writer: Bill Rabinowitz:

GSmith said #OSU -- and its B10 partners -- won't return $ from Sugar Bowl. "There’s no financial penalty associated with the vacations."

Smith said OSU studied other similar violations and found none matched OSU's in which a coach acted alone w sort of violations JT did.

Smith said comparison w 2004 bkb violations under O'Brien are not fair. “I understand the comparison, but they are not the same."

    The best 2:

If NCAA hits OSU with bowl ban/scholarship reductions Smith said, "I’ll be shocked and disappointed and on the offensive."

Smith cont... "Unless something new arises from where we are today, it’ll be behavior (from me) you haven’t witnessed.”

I guess here is the link to his story.

  • Today on SVP he was talking about how much better it would be if teams had to vacate future wins. Like you start out the year 5 in the hole.

I like that. It'll never happen, but I like it.

Like I said, Nuke 'em. NCAA needs to make an example of the suckeyes. Here's my idea: 3 year bowl ban, along with reduction of 10-15 scolly's for those three years, which reduces over a 10 year period,
Extra sanctions for the car deal, which we all know happened, regardless for the fluff PR being distributed right now
All parties associated with the vest dis-associated from suckeye land (I.E. fired)
Recuiting sanctions for a period of 10 years
    AD resignation
    School Pres. resignation
Take tainted 2002 fake title away, award it to Miami (who should have won the game anyway)
