This is for man games lost last year and the Wings were near the bottom in man games lost. So to say this has been going on the past 3-4 years is wrong. In fact the Wings were pretty healthy last year looking at this.
Here's another one for the 10-11, Wings had it a little harder this year but not even in the top 10 for man games lost to injury. All this I think just fits into the meme of the Wings are the only team that suffers injuries and every other team is healthy but that's far from reality.

I'm not saying that we've had the most man-games lost in each of the last 4 years. That just happens to be the case this year. But the last few years, we've had some really integral players go down for long stretches at really important times (most notably Lidstrom in the midst of the playoff chase). I haven't seen a team have at least 2 of it's top-6 forwards injured each of the last 3 years. This year, it's quantity, but the last few years it's been quality. Mickey even called it ridiculous today. There's no other way to view it.

Mursak has been limited to two games this season because of a shoulder injury. Actually, Mursak's second game was last night, as he played eight minutes in Thursday's 3-2 loss to Columbus.

Mursak clears waivers, is assigned to GR.
I'm not sorry to see him stay, albeit in the minors. I concur with Babs that he needs playing time, and now that he's healed up, he'll get it in the minors (especially since the Wings have ransacked the roster for wingers

Fast-skating right wing would have had trouble cracking Detroit's lineup when injured players returned. He has two goals and four points in 46 NHL games.

While I was sleeping -- er, seething.
Of greater import than the 8-spot on Luongo, IMO, was that the Wings were down 3-2 in the first, and scored six unanswered -- the first three via PP -- en route to the curb stomping of the Canucks. Good news all around.
Now on to the West Coast.

Joakim Andersson scored a pair of goals. Niklas Kronwall and Henrik Zetterberg each had a goal and two assists. Detroit has won back-to-back games.
