  • Wings weren't able to take advantage of a shaky Bernier early and proceeded to give away the game in the 2nd and 3rd. Penalties aside, LA outworked the Wings for a majority of the game and deserved a win. I really don't have an issue with the 5v3 that tied the game, as Quincey's infraction was a penalty and so was Pav's, stupid as that rule may be.

Referees did miss calls that would have put the Wings on PP late, but that's how it goes sometimes. Bottom line, this is a Wings loss and a Kings win. Needed more offense when their goalie was struggling to stop the puck.

i still wonder how, as a ref, you miss a high stick to the face of kronwall that you are looking at 5 feet away

  • The no call when Cleary got bloodied was worse than what Abs got called for earlier too. Definite home cookin

Also don't agree that the wings were getting out worked. They dominated the first. Somewhat even second and dominated the first half of the third. Just couldn't keep it up after the penalties in the third.

  • I'm glad I stayed up til 1 fucking AM to watch that crap. Wings dominated the first 50 minutes until that 5 on 3 PP for LA and I knew they were going to lose at that point. Bullshit.

What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...

I'm glad I went to bed after the second. I knew if they didn't at least score another in the second they'd find a way to lose the game.

There's a toilet in the kitchen!

I don;t the hand on the puck penalty. It has no reason to be in the game. I don't agree but understand the puck out of play and breaking the stick automatic penalties. Putting your hand on the puck is just part of hockey. It cost us a game what happens when that costs someone a series?

I mean, rules are rules. But what bothered me most was Cleary getting hit in the face and bleeding and no call. WTF? Then Brendan Smith took an elbow to the head and no call. Weak...

  • What is wrong with this team offensively? They just cannot put the puck in the net.

At least 1 point. I like our chances in OT, especially a shoot out.

Well we just whaled a game winner off the post. That would have been awesome and convenient.

I think Brunner is going to turn into a star. He handles the puck just like Datsyuk.

    Yes and no.

I know the term "snipe" gets thrown around a lot but Brunner is our sniper. He's also very good at handling the puck but he's no Pavel, no one is. Datsyuk is in his own league, planet, universe, etc

Educate me: if Pav DOES NOT take his hand off the stick, is it still a penalty?

On the Wings' forums, people were mentioning that.

If Pav, Hank, and Brunner aren't scoring, the team isn't scoring.

But Ken Holland "kicked" Alex Semin's tires.....so...yeah.....

More likely to shoot/better sniper: Brunner

Better player overall: Pav.....and it's not close (like you said)

Brunner had an amazing 2 way game. He had a back check where he took the puck form Throatin. We need to re sign this guy. Maybe they are waiting till the end of the year after the amnesty Franzen

they don't have the defensive talent we've relied on for years

Well, the biggest problem is they're better described as the Detroit-Grand Rapids Griffins right now due to all the injuries.
