I remember watching these guys when I was in Germany during the WC in 06. I bought a real jersey with Podolski on the back. Its now 6 years later! Most of the starters were the same then. They were so young then dang. Thats a nice long career and these guys aren't even slowing down.

remember that the next tournament in france goes up to 24 teams...
the way they will do it is to have 9 groups of 6.... top 2 from each group qualify.... the top 3rd place team will also qualify... then the other 8 3rd place teams with go into a playoff for the final 4 spots.....

nope...though i'll be cheering for it to happen. Ireland doesn't have the offensive prowess to put in multiple goals against italy, and if the irish D struggles like they did against croatia then they will need to score 2-3.
