Here is a question I've had for quite some time. So the Targaryan siblings are in Pentos, and they want the Iron Throne in Westeros back. Why do they go east across the entire continent? I know the Dothraki don't know how to sail but what good is it going across a continent and across the red waste knowing they wanted to go take back King's Landing, with tons of horses and people dying along the way?

She needs to avoid running into any other Dothraki "Ka-la-sar". They would kill her and all of her followers.

Who exactly are the Ka-la-sar? I thought that was the group following them. And did they plan on sailing from the south/east and going around Essos?

  • Also, in the books, are the Starks the good guys and the Lannisters the bad guys? The TV show makes you really like the Starks and really hate the Lannisters (well all but Tyrion).

Just wondering if that theme is common in the books too.

    Yes.

It like a Dothtraki clan. So there are tons of them and they will all kill each other. Khal Drago was suppose to unit all the Khalasar's but he died.

The Khalasars are large. Drogo's had 40,000 in it and there are probably 10x that number all across the Dothraki Sea.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

  • Except I have a fair amount of respect for Tryrion. I dont think the shows so far have given him any justice compared to the books.

Yes.....but just to let you know some characters you dislike you might start to like or not hate as much as the plot progresses.

kahl Drago lead them east for the wedding, and then again to raid the lamb men...then he died leaving danny with the decision on where to go. if she marched her remaining people through the dothraki sea other kahls would find them and kill them. Instead she marched them through the Red Waste, at that point kings landing is a distant dream since she once again has no army to conquer it.

Your average UofM fan and I have something in common, neither of us went to UofM. Though we do share One major difference, I got Accepted.

  • Just so you know...to sail from Qarth to Kings Landing would take several months. It is far as hell away.

    The_Dude

  • That has been my biggest disappointment when comparing the books to show. I was expecting her to be sexy as hell like in the book and instead she's "Buzz, your girlfriend, woof!" looking.

Edit: Response to MSUgoat about Theon's sister.

  • Risky popping in here, but I have to ask something.

I'm trying to read A Clash of Kings before I watch season two. However, someone mentioned to me that there are some significant aspects of the third book, A Storm of Swords, that covered in season two. Should I read both books two and three before watching the second season?

    Thanks.

I think you are safe to watch season 2 unless something happens in episode 10. Without going back I'm not sure anything too significant has happened.

I think some of the Jamie stuff has been bumped up for character development purposes. However, as far as general plot goes, I think you're ok.

  • Ok. So I'm 100 pages into storm of swords and I got to ask, Is Dany going to have some lesbian scene with her handmaidens in these HBO seasons???? And am I reading into this too much or just hoping?

I think I remember someone saying that neither Cersei or Dany are naked in this season. At this point since both of the handmaidens are dead or gone, she probably isn't going to have a lesbian scene. Then again its HBO so maybe Tyrion will get hit over the head during some battle and they will have a lesbian scene instead.

Since Irri was killed off prematurely we certainly won't see this pairing. Is Doreah missing/dead as well?

BTW - I see in the attached article that Amrita Acharia was "a bit relieved" about missing out on a potential lesbian scene with Emilia Clarke.

Game of Thrones' Amrita Acharia: Why Daenerys Has Lost So Much

Daenerys can't seem to catch a break. The khaleesi (Emilia Clarke) has experienced loss after loss this season, and on Sunday's Game of Thrones, she suffers several devastating setbacks..
