Nice assist by Donovan to set up Everton's second goal. 2-0 against Chelsea.

He's playing better today. Childish and dangerous push on Ivanavic though.

amazing, we needed those 3 points bad

Your average UofM fan and I have something in common, neither of us went to UofM. Though we do share One major difference, I got Accepted.

Absolutely massive. Especially with Chelsea losing 2-0 at Everton. In 4th now by virtue of goal differential. Hate sp*rs but almost hoping for a draw with newcastle right now. Regardless, on to Milan.

Our next three games put us 100% in control of our UEFA destiny. Spurs and Newcastle at home and traveling to pool.

I love that when he's with the Red Bulls he's too old to play and MLS sucks, but when he scores 2 goals in 5 games for Arsenal he needs to stay in the Premier League. This is why I also love watching Donovan tear it up with Everton, much to the dismay of Cym Jim and other xenophobes.

    joerco

  • Yep, and if you add in the 2 games against AC Milan in the Champion's League and the FA Cup game at Sunderland, that makes for a good few weeks of games!

So the fans of Liverpool have been found being racist, a player was found being racist, the club and manager refuse to rebuke either and now the same player refuses to shake hands with the player he was racist towards...what more do they have to do to face punishment from the league/FA? And how long until the club and its fans start bleating about being victims of conspiracies?

The absurd thing about Suarez attitude here is that he basically admitted saying those things to Evra. He only spun them as not being racist in his country (which is BS, I can assure you). If he had maintained his innocence all along that he never uttered anything to Evra, he might have a case for not shaking his hand. But instead his only reasoning for not shaking his hand is because Evra called him out on it? Really?

And then he let his rage impact his play and hurt his team. My favorite was when he intercepted a throw-in from Evra, and drilled it out of bounds, trying to hit Evra with the ball (though he missed). He easily had time to clear it, but instead chose to turn the ball back over to United deep in his own territory in the name, all in the name of rage....over something that he admitted to.

I would have preferred that Evra just walk off the field normally and not make a spectacle of celebrating in front of Suarez, but it's understandable considering Suarez's behavior before and during the game.

  • Lot of fuss about nothing. Can't blame him for not shaking hands, I just wish one of them had the balls to go in hard on the other. That's what you get when a Frenchman and a Urugian have a squabble. The only winner in all of this faggotry is the FA for having attention deflected. And what was with Rooney's post game reaction? He's been saying more and more of that robotic shit lately. Have the Scientology pills finally kicked in?

  • lets talk about a great story for football...... Zambia have beaten the Ivory Coast in penalties to win the African Cup of Nations in the final in Gabon....

Brilliant scenes.... and if you don't know the story behind this, the Entire Zambian team, who was one of the most talented teams in african football, had to be rebuilt after the team plane crashed and everyone on it died basically wiping out a generation of footballers after a WC qualifier in Gabon back in 1993......

Tough on the ivory coast.... but this zambian team is a team of destiny... and no one can begrudge them this....

in a quirk of the schedule... the next african cup of nations is actually next year in South Africa........

I wish I could invoke some rivalry and talk some trash, but I'm pretty much an MLS noob. Only started going towards the end of the season before last, but have loved it so far. Other than the front office squabbles with Gary Smith, I've been nothing but impressed with the Rapids organization. Season tickets are good value, the venue is solid, fun core fan base, tons of great perks for season ticket holders (scarves, parking, viewing parties, food and beer discounts, meet and greets, etc., they even throw in a few Avalanche tickets). Should be an interesting year too with a new signing from Colombia and an Argentinian striker. Now if they can start learning from what the Sounders are doing and move away from the kid market a bit, the only way is up.

How are things with your team?
