The NASL doesn't exactly play EPL teams.shrug

Neither did YCFC. Either way, I was more referring to Man U's predominantly Cornish and Scandinavian fanbase wink_msu.

Not sure why you all get so uppity about R.P.'s chosen team. At least half of the American folks I know who are involved with the game over here (from MLS execs to Academy trainers to youth team coaches) want nothing to do with the USMNT - and instead support European national teams - either countries where they have family heritage or the countries that contain the leagues they follow. They're fans of the game, and see little value in investing their time in a rotten team and rotten program, with no history and no culture, just because they emerged from a vagina on a particular piece of soil. Some even drive foreign cars too scared.

Are you sure you aren't talking about the English MNT? That description sounds about right of England and their team to me.

Sounds like there's a lot of d bags in Colorado. Though its a hell of a coincidence that you're the only one that comes across many of these born and raised Americans that root for other teams head to head against the US.

Rotten team, rotten program - yes. History and culture? - best in the world.

As the son of an English immigrant and someone who is proud of his English heritage, I find that incredibly humorous.

Just because you kind of invented the sport, doesn't mean that your history and culture is the best in the world when it comes to this sport. Brazil and Germany have much richer and more interesting soccer/football traditions than England. But that doesn't mean I'm about to root for either of them over my own country.

Very true. There are many other factors that contribute to our football history and culture being the best in the world thumbsup.

Like the fact we all watch your league and teams and only maybe two or three of us watch our own.... Let alone all the other leagues in Europe.

Germany?! You're reaching there aren't you?! Cue Dambusters theme...

Either way - so why do all the kids in the US with Mexican parents all cheer for Mexico? They all do here in Denver. Not many wearing USA shirts! Are they traitors or something? If you meet a nice Mexican lady (big boobs, nice bum) and have a baby in America, what national team do you think he's gonna support? You're gonna make the poor little bugger watch the USA?

Roshomon, here's what you don't seem to get. When you come into a thread puffing your chest out and thumping it with your fist about Brazil, the US fans here don't take kindly to it. Which, if you were actually Brazilian like arfabe is Mexican, we'd roll with. But you're a lily white guy who has no more of a connection to Brazil than any other person that travels somewhere a lot for work. You run your mouth, and predictably, you get chastised and symbolically punched in the face repeatedly. And then you get uppity and talk about how you're better than us and "above us" because we give you shit. Your arrogance and support for a team you have absolute no connection to whatsoever breeds even more contempt.

Let me ask you a question - Imagine you went to MSU. But you're a huge Alabama fan. And you came into this place when we played Bama in the Cap One Bowl and ran your mouth like crazy. What do you think would have happened? Do you really think you would have been able to post here without getting at least a modicum of shit?

Except, you're worse than the MSU grad who cheers for Bama. You turn your back on your own country. I don't expect an honest answer from you on this, but I'm just laying it out. You rattle the hornet's nest, then act surprised when you get stung and call the hornets jerks for stinging you.

Like I said, good luck with all that outrage over nothing.

Christ, you're like a woman with all this blah. Mala sem alça. That's you, boy.

BTW, I didn't get stung. You guys SUCK at smack talk and my team won. Suck it.

    Sempre Brasil.

    Like winning one major trophy?

I respect you though. I get the feeling that England could do something completely stupid and terrible, like lose 5-0 to the Faroe Islands, and you'd still be giving us all shit.

Rashomon, on the other hand, will probably be searching for a new country to love if Brazil doesn't win in 2014.

I do think they should root for the USA, but I still don't think your comparison works.

Having Mexican parents means you have Mexican citizenship. Plus, your parents probably root for Mexico so it'd be hard for a kid to grow up rooting for anyone but Mexico.

It's not the same as if some grown-ass American man traveled to Mexico for business a few times, made some Mexican friends, and all of the sudden started rooting for Mexico ONLY in things that Mexico is better than the US. That reeks of bandwagon chickenshit.

If Rashomon rooted for Brazil in EVERYTHING, I actually wouldn't have as big of a problem with it. It would suggest some sort of conflicted personality, but at least it would show that Rashomon truly feels related to Brazil in a deep way. ONLY rooting for Brazil at the sport in which they're absolutely the best at is bandwagon chickenshit.

And if I was going to quit on Brasil, I would have done so in 2006, when I watched them, in Brazil, lay an egg.

You don't seem very smart. I hope you don't work at something that requires logical thought. Because your leaps are ludicrous. Again, you know shit.

But like the others, I realize your spittle and ignorance stem from jealousy. I forgive you.

You've gone full-Opti on this thread. You never directly respond to anyone ... Instead, you throw out non-sequiturs and crown yourself the "winner," when you are clearly an idiot.

Keep telling yourself you're not mad while you troll this thread obsessively and use Google translate to edit Portuguese insults into every one of your posts.

Red Wings, sure. But I'm not into hockey that much. The others no. I don't have a connection.

I love the success Magic had with L.A.

See, again, you don't know SHIT about my connection to Brazil. Arfabe acts like he knows, describing it as a "couple of business trips", but that doesn't come close.

    BTW, 4-1
