This right here is the main reason I think Izzo was outcoached. Why? Because they didnt hit ridiculous threes. They hit wide open 3s. Only one I can remember that would qualify as bordering ridiculous was Hulls from way deep. But he has way deep range.

IU shoots a high percentage and we didnt play good enough defense to stop that. They got open looks from their sets.

As sloppy as we were on offense, we grinded. I didn't think we did that on D.

Totally agree. I said at the half we are a second half team so hopefully that would stay true. And it did for the most part.

I just think we were so uncharacteristically poor on D - especially in the first - that it overshadows everything for me.

And to be clear, I am very, very high on this team. Maybe my expectations play too much a part in my feelings right now. The game is probably worth another viewing to really cement thoughts. But eff it, I'd probably just get pissed.

I was watching at the bar but had to leave to pick my kid up with 5 minutes left, game tied. I call my wife and told her tape the last five minutes, she obliges. I pick up the kid, drive home fast, not turning on the radio. I walk in the door and the wife looks at me and says "Shitty ending, huh?"

You'll have to forgive fishead/mSUX2. His iWife app has been closing without notice and he's unable to cyber beat her this week. So he's taking out his impotent anger towards MSU. Don't worry, the fat little bastard will be in a food coma for the next few days. When his iWife is "busy" he treats himself to a Ricky bobby like feast.
