    lol Do they never learn?

Yup, getting the game going up and down - that's the way to beat State.

    Field day for the Spartans!

Unfortunately the coaches that we face aren't this dumb. Sometimes I think fans and sports writers can't tell the difference between basketball and football.

    Its five o'clock somewhere.

You have to click on 'Brooklyn' first and you'll find the link to their athletics page.

Aha... Here's why it's so confusing. LIU is in a rebranding process.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – It has to happen sooner or later. The Long Island Blackbirds figure why not them and why not now?
That would be a No. 16-seed winning a game in the NCAA tournament. The Blackbirds figure they are the perfect candidates. They've been here before – just last year. They have an opponent more complementary to their style than last year.

While Michigan State isn't exactly Wisconsin as far as slug-it-out basketball, the Spartans play in a league that's as slow as any in the nation. And LIU-Brooklyn's players, especially springy 6-7 forward Jamal Olasewere and lithe 6-7 Julian Boyd, wonder if the Spartans can take the heat.

“Michigan State, they have 6-10, 6-9, 6-7,” said Olasewere. “Most of their bigs are heavy-set. With me and Julian, with the mobility of us, I've said they couldn't catch us with our quickness and speed.
