    Wrong...

if the D is bringing it up the middle you make them pay with ANY of the things I mentioned above. All sorts of plays that punish a D for selling it out and sending everyone up the middle. My point is that Roushar didn't even try ANY of that. Not a thing..You she ANY wide pitches to the RB to the outside with a FB in front of him? I didn't. I think they threw ONE bubble screen (to a pure freshman no less). See any screen passes to the RB out there with a convoy in front. I didn't.. Any shovel passes to the outside? Any misdirection to the outside? Any revereses. I think Roushare may have tried some of that for a single play then cowered into his little shell. And just as important.... you have a line that can't block so you go empty backfield again and again??? WTF! Why don't you just plug your mike into the ND coaches box ...wouldn't be any worse than telegraphing the play the way that did.

You should have been in the stadium. Everyone around me was asking the same questions. Sorry to say, we got Roushared again tonight folks. ND cleaned our clock on both offense and defense. AND, we got OUT COACHED BADLY. We were clueless on what they were going to do on offense and they completely owned what we were trying on our offense.
Yea, the empty backfield stuff was head scratchingly bad coaching...
Plus on top of that, our guys weren't playing very well at all. I knew after the first possession of the 2nd half that we weren't winning this game.

  • Not having Fonoti really hurt the Oline.

Notre Dame played better defense than my last date.

What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...

  • I thought overall Maxwell had a decent game.Held onto the ball a few times, but tons of dropped balls.

    Burkland did not look good.

Did Burbridge or Arnett even see the field?

I don't understand why we didn't blitz a freshman qb to get more pressure on him.Our run D was stout until the 4th quarter.

Seriously? No activity going on despite the loss (in my room right now)? Oh well...

  • Screech could score easier than our offense right now.

meh, maybe. PU is good for sure, but I'm not getting the annointing oil out yet...they are PU after all. Fucking Hope runs around with a whistle in his mouth he can't blow: dude is out there

Whatever Hope did in the offseason apparently worked. Purdue's D looks leaps and bounds better and the offense is humming along despite losing Marve. Hell, they hung 54 points on EMU (yes I know it is only EMU) today when TerBush nearly didn't play due to illness.

More importantly, they have stayed relatively injury free thus far and have a lot of team speed.

It's time to stop looking at the name and look at the team. Purdue is a good team and a threat to win the B1G this year.

The RCMB...is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet.

this is my problem. we trot the same guy out there who has proven he can't catch the ball and yet 2 guys who have caught everything thrown to them sit on the sideline because one's an inexperienced freshman and the other one said something about playing time this week. who gives a fuck about experience if you can't catch the ball. Kings has looked good when the ball has been thrown at him but he's nowhere to be found in the 2nd half

Burkland and McDonald were the big goats on the OL. terrible.

I think Arnett was the "target" on that bizarre long pass down the right sideline that Maxwell hesitated on a couple of times before chucking it way out of bounds - just as Arnett was running free down the sideline.

I thought we got good pressure on Golson, but he was quick in evading it when it came and made quite a few plays on the run. Kid has a ridiculous arm...I was incredibly impressed with him.

At least we finally got a decent look at Calhoun - he looked very good. And he had more of an impact in the limited action he saw tonight than Gholston has in the three games combined. Something's not right with Will...He's just seems out of position too often. It's hard to pinpoint though, and may just be a matter of double teams. He also seems to get held a lot, but I don't think he's gotten a single call this year. On the 2nd td he was right there to tackle Golson but was blatantly held by #70 (i think that was the guy), which allowed Golson to get around the corner. as easy a call any ref will ever have, but nothing. He's clearly frustrated on a lot of plays and at the whistle is often looking around with his arm up in "WTF?!??!" mode. He's got to shake that off and get back to work...and maybe start doing a better job of selling the holds. I have to wonder if the Michigan game has affected how refs look at him....which is total bullshit, but entirely possible.

Yea. I got my education on this twit today. Did you have a good trip to Michigan (well, as good as you could considering how the game went).
