No. They replaced one roommate with another with some throw away nonsense explanation they spent 2 seconds on. They just both "happened" to be black.
Winston was introduced as a former roommate now returning from playing basketball in Europe.

I do find some of the jobs they have put him into pretty funny.

i really like the show...but like how i met your mother, it needs a lot more focus on the supporting cast and less on the "main character" because zoeys character is annoying. I actually would like the show more if the calmed her down a lot.
Your average UofM fan and I have something in common, neither of us went to UofM. Though we do share One major difference, I got Accepted.

This. Schmidt is the Barney of new girl. Moreover, it's a show you can watch with your guys, or a lady friend.

Jen (the asian girl) reacted like a real person to this--Her wtf expression was the character's best moment.

Nice to see Jess' heart gettin broken. They haven't exactly been hiding the buildup to Jess and Nick getting together.
I was trying to explain to my gf from Ho Lon Dun why Winston needs to not be over the top and funny all the time. One of those guys has to be the straight man. It certainly will never be Schmidt.

They even make Schmidt the straight man on occassion. In the right context, it works.
It's one of the good things about the show that each of the characters serves as a straight man for the others at times.
I will say that I hope they've finished with the Schmidt's injured dick theme. It was funny at times, but they've pushed that about as far as they can.

The first minute of tonight's episode may have been the funniest TV I've ever seen. Between the Rack City reference, and the mouse catcher doll, I was literally rofloling.

Great show BTW. There is just.. Something about Zoey that's hard to explain. Even when she's being annoying it's charming. I like Happy Endings too, so I'm glad Coach left. If you like New Girl and haven't been watching Happy Endings, get onto Hulu. A lot of similarities.
