    Dude, I like bitching at the refs as much as anybody...but we are flat out getting beat all over the place. They are getting penetration (haha, penetration) and drawing the fouls. Doesn't help that they don't have to guard Appling outside AS ALL because he can't hit the broad side of a barn. Draymond is the only dude that showed up to play.

    Exactly. Dawson really needs to step up his defense. He's getting beat all over the court. Everyone looks a step slow tonight.

    We're getting out rebounded 15-9, we have twice as many turnovers as they do, and they have 5 steals to our 2.

    It's not the refs.

    Rebounds:
    MSU - 12
    IU - 16
    (not 15 - 9)

    The refs are not completely to blame in any way, but the way that IU is being allowed to play D and hold on rebounds is impacting the game.

    Pretty sure this is State's 5th game in 13 days. That has to be a factor.

    You know, this is IU's 5th game since February 15 as well. In fact, they played on the road on Sunday while we played at home on Saturday. The tired thing is legit, but not relative to IU. Just my opinion.

  • Not sure what they can adjust - nobody came to play except Green. They are missing bunnies, playing slow D and can't get anything on offense. Out hustled and out played. This was a trap game - lets see if they come out and start chipping away at the lead.

  • why is Jay Bilas filling in for Erin Andrews? and didn't he talk to Crean about how great it was to play physical defense against us? i haven't seen anything particularly physical about the way we've been allowed to play.

    If the rebound, turnover and steal stats were reversed, the FT attempts wouldn't matter.

    and if the FT attempts were reversed we'd be winning.
    The refs are a factor along with all the stuff you said. I find it easier to blame the refs though.

    Then DayDay needs to rip them all a new a$$hole in that locker room at the half, much like Mateen did to his teammates in the 2000 NCAA tourney game against Syracuse.

    The same trap KY and OSU fell into - this is Indy's season tonight as they suck on the road. We have two shots to win (one at home on senior day), we're tired and don't have any energy.

    You're right

    The temptation to put in somebody who can get hot from 3 is tempting, but 14 points is not insurmountable.

    It is if we don't cut down on the bad turnovers and start to play tougher.

    We are down 14. At this point, not scoring seals the coffin.

    Nothing like letting Trice learn to play D the hard way. Better now than in the Tourney.
