The old Entourage spot, the way the last 3 seasons of that show went it will not take much to be better.

Loved the first episode. And I'm glad that some critics didn't like it, because eff them that's why.

Yup. I just watched it and thought it was great. Looking forward to next week already.

I'm sold. I thought the first episode was fantastic

The show was solid. It hits and misses newsroom reality.

Hits: Newsroom minutiae is right on; intensity of breaking news is about right; like the show, there are brilliant people with high expectations and low returns in the newsroom.

Misses: "You were the hottest EP straight out of J-School" - I almost turned it off after this false and ridiculous comment; there's not that much mass job movement by producers within a newsroom, which is a little false; and news sources never come that easily - it would take two weeks to get that BP info in reality.

I'd say it's the closest thing we have to reality in a newsroom on tv. Though The Wire's newspaper reenactment awas spot on. And there's a great show called The Newsroom that may be a little closer to reality. It's an old Canadian mocumentary that lasted two seasons worth checking out.

I just wish this was set in the future and not 2 years ago.

Allison Pill is definitely the weak part of the show

I enjoyed both. Loving this show so far.

i'm enjoying it. Aaron Sorkin is a genius of a writer, and am looking forward to how he develops the show. I loved Sports Night, Studio 60, and especially West Wing.

I really like the show and I love Jeff Daniels. I'm interested in what they are going to do once the show catches up to present day though? Are they going to make stuff up or are they going to have wait a whole year before writing a script for a new season. This is assuming it doesn't get cancelled though, I don't think it will but how good a show is has very little to do with whether or not it gets picked up again as we have seen countless times.
