I figured the pizza threads on the old rcmb were interesting to me so I would start one here.
I'm currently eating a meat lovers pizza from Bernie O's back in my hometown for break and this is probably my favorite.
What is your favorite pizza here in Michigan? toppings/crust/location?

It used to be Pizza Papalias but their pie is not as good as it once was. I guess I would probably have to say Green Lantern (the Madison Heights bar variety). Ironically, you would think that given the number of people of Italian descent behind the blue wall, err eastside, that we would have some killer pizza over here. Not so much?! The best couple places I can think of are in south Oakland.
I know a guy who swears that Bell's in EL is on loan from heaven.

Definitely a contender. Wife (vegetarian) used to love it too until someone on the inside of their operation let her know they grease their pans with animal fat. Just couldn't keep their big mouth shut, apparently.

Phil's in Middleville, MI.
A hole in the wall family place started by Phil 20 plus years ago when Phil came from Brooklyn NY and settled in Middleville.
Great pizza especially when you add fresh garlic as a topping.

Unfortunately being a poor college kid from out of state, I haven't really given the good stuff a fair chance. My pizza options usually come down to Dominos or Cottage Inn at two in the morning. I do hit up Georgios every Thursday for lunch with coworkers, the stuff is so damn good but I'm just as happy with Dominos. I can get a medium pepperoni at Dominos for cheaper than two slices from Georgios.

Pizza sucks- I loved it at as a kid but now it just does not do much for me. I certainly eat it and like it but I never crave it anymore. It is now more a fall back choice than anything else.

Buddy's: accept no substitute. With the possible exception of Olga's, Buddy's is the only food from Michigan that I miss.
