  • Spoiler Alert: If you don't want to know who is going to win the pool, don't read this post.

So, i did a quick check of the brackets, and (please correct me if i screwed up) there are 7 people who still have a chance to win it.

    1. "jimmurphy" has 95 points and picked Kansas to the final. If Kansas wins AND Louisville beats Kentucky THEN Louisville beats Kansas, "jimmurphy" wins the pool with 111 points.

    2. Grandy has 91 points and picked OSU to the final. If OSU wins AND Louisville beats Kentucky THEN Louisville beats OSU, Grandy wins the pool with 107 points.

    3. SAVSpartan has 89 points and picked Kentucky over Kansas in the final. If Kentucky AND Kansas both win THEN Kentucky beats Kansas, SAVSpartan wins the pool with 153 points.

    4. Tailgater has 88 points and picked Kentucky over OSU in the final. If Kentucky and OSU both win THEN Kentucky beats OSU, Tailgater wins the pool with 152 points.

    5. "nonixknowpayne87" has 87 points and picked Kansas over Kentucky in the final. If Kansas and Kentucky both win THEN Kansas beats Kentucky, "nonixknowpayne87" wins the pool with 151 points.

    6. Finally, some schmuck named "markv" has 86 points and picked OSU over Kentucky in the final. If OSU wins the championship (regardless of whom their opponent is), "markv" wins the pool with either 150 or 134 points.

    7. MadisonSpartan has 87 points and picked Kansas to win the final. If Kansas and Louisville both win THEN Kansas wins the final, MadisonSpartan wins the pool with 135 points.

So if you go with the general idea that Kentucky is 75% to win in each game, and KU and OSU are pretty even (about what Vegas will probably say), then the pool odds are:

    SAVSpartan 5:2
    tailgater 5:2
    markv 7:1
    nonixnopayne 10:1
    MadisonSpartan 13:1
    Grandy 15:1
    jimmurphy 15:1

    tRCMB, please place your bets.

#1 is incorrect. If Kansas beats Louisville in the final Madison Spartan (oh shit, that's me!) and No Nix No Payne would both have 135 points while Jimmurphy would have 111.

If Louisville beats Kansas in the final, then Jim wins.

  • Thanks, it's fixed like you said except that NoNixKnowPayne didn't provide a tiebreaker score, so if Kansas beats Louisville in the final, you (MadisonSpartan) win.
