Agree, this place has gone down hill somewhat since then.

The board is now crude, rude and increasingly vulgar.

My wife won't even read it anymore, let alone post here.

Average age of posters goes from mid-30s to mid-20s. No language filter. Anonymous internet-tough-guy-itis...

We may be doing some trials regarding that this summer...

Or people who follow posters around and and attack them, can't stick to the subject, and get their azz handed to them on a frequent basis. So how many times have you been owned--eight at least?

It should be a banned word on here, but people throw it around like it's going out of style.

1) A large part of the problem is that sometimes we think we are funny, and we are not. That can be said for most of us here at one time or another. I accidentally offended someone on the old board and it took a long time and a TON of heat from this board before it was considered over. Even though the poster and I had gotten past it, the board did not. I thought I was funny, I wasnt. It didnt end well.

2) Constant badgering of female posters. GGG cannot put a serious post on this board without someone going anal or boobs on her post. Minnie has a different sort of sense of humor and a lot of the things she takes very well, but sometimes it goes over the line with her as well.

3) I have had female friends (yes friends in real life) that post here. They tell me that the word ANAL is the reason that none of you know they are female. It is derogatory to most women. (not all women, of course)

4) Im a big Dendrobates fan, but we cannot treat every female poster like they are HER. She has a personality that allows just about any subject. That is pretty rare, and you all know that.

5) Ash-Liz was part of the down fall of women on this board. I know there are some redeeming values to that person, we used to talk about some of the crap she took her. It was her own fault. You cant post some of the posts she had here and not deal with the consequences.

6) most of you that are offensive are too young to have kids. If you had daughters, you would never treat these female posters they way they get treated. As I said, I have screwed up once, thinking I was funny, and I wasnt. That is the case for most of the harassing posts. It is not always possible to tell when someone is serious or not around here. If you dont have a very good relationship with the poster, you are best off to NOT go "sexist" on them.

k) I once pissed off a poster here because his GF was sending me neckid pics and he didnt know it. I didnt ask for freaking neckid pics!!! I didnt ask for neckid video!!!!! But I wasnt going to turn them down either. [creepy grin] HOWEVER, if you are a chick , and you are going to do stupid shit, either a) dont get caught or b) dont try to blame shit on someone else. And then, realize that you are going to have a reputation as an attention whooer when you get caught.

It just comes down to respect. There isnt much of that here.
