    Brother Act In The Works?
Florida's Jordan Diggs is among the nation's most sought-after defensive backs. He is also the brother of former Spartan Jeremy Ware. Will that aid the Spartans in this case?

  • 247 profile says he's 'hot' on South Carolina (where Ware played before transferring to MSU). Wonder how an MSU offer changes things for him? He has a solid offer list and good size for a safety.

I hope he really likes MSU, because it's going to be hard to pry him from SCar, Auburn, Nebraska, and OSU.

  • Will be on campus for camp today.

  • He has an absolutely ridiculous offer list, by the way.

Supposedly no offers from Miami, Florida, or Florida State... but it's still ridiculous (OSU, ND, Nebraska, Auburn, S Carolina, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Stanford, etc..)

    ArtieLuvPancake

  • This would be an amazing pull from the south. A top 10 safety with a great offer list. I had no idea there was interest from him. If he is willing to visit it can only mean good things for us.

He has held an offer for sometime now. SCar will be the toughest to beat here. His father played for them, as well as JWare before transferring to MSU.

  • I'll probably get ripped for this but as long as MSU is offering the highly rated Florida kids the less likelyhood they're going to commit because they are used to getting offers from SEC and more highly thought of programs so our best bet is the lower rated ranked kids until MSU consistently wins, consistently get to upper tier bowl games(BCS), win bowl games so a prospect like this most likely won't come to EL until then.

Being called a sunshine blower is not insulting to me and I'm proud to be one.

So your solution is to not even try for those kids?

That seems kind of ridiculous, especially for a kid like Diggs whose brother played at MSU under Dantonio.

That's an absolutely ridiculous take. There's very little effort involved with contacting a kid and offering him a scholarship. Even if you don't land him, you make a positive impact on the coaches and other kids in the program. It's worth it to recruit a kid like Jordan. He comes on a visit and he could be blown away like we all were. If not, than he becomes one of the 90 other kids that we recruit that doesn't come here. You have to try though. Even CMU/EMU/WMU offer 4-5 star kids.

  • Does anyone have a realistic read on where we stand with his kid? It should say something that he traveled all the way to el to camp and spend time with the coaches. Seems hot on sc but michigan is a hike man! What triggered the late surge? Other than his bro transfering. We seem really late to the party but positioned well.

  • Huskers have the hots for this kid. He's an absolute stud, and I read the MSU Staff report on today' camp. Sounds like he was incredibly impressive.

I'm linking a thread about Diggs from Huskers Illustrated. As you'll see, there are a lot of us who feel very good about Diggs based on what people have 'heard.'

Edit To Add: I'm linking another article, this one from the UNC board. Here's a quote:

“I have a lot of schools that I like. I really don’t have any leaders but there are a few schools that I’m giving a hard look. Ole Miss, Nebraska, South Carolina, MSU and Ohio State. There are some others out there I want to visit and give a hard look also."

    Jordan Diggs

Sounds like him and Michael Rose are pretty good friends and this has helped so much to put the Huskers in the number one spot. How come on

  • I give us a 10% shot with Nebraska and South Carolina each @30% and OSU 20 or so. If we get an official we have a small chance.

Based on what, troll? This board is not for speculation. It doesn't take much to go through your posting history and see what you're all about.

  • Ware and his family love Dantonio. Ware played at SC, and MSU under both JLS and MD. He didnt do shit until MD saw something and coached him up to a pro caliber player. The talent was always there. MD was able to see it and coach it. Ware and his family know this. Hopefully they pass this onto Jordan.

    SpartanGA

  • Ridiculous take? chances MSU lands a top flight Florida kid isn't very high but I never said anything about how it's a waste of time to offer a highly ranked prospect the fact kids like Kings are interested in MSU can only mean other higher rated ones will give MSU a closer look however if you disagree it's going to take more consistent winning to land kids like Diggs then that's fair but don't put words in my mouth, ty.

  • They're both from south florida but opposites sides of the state. It definitely wouldn't hurt but i don't think it would be a big plus either

    Lockwood09

  • From what I've read, it seems that the Huskers are pretty confident. BUT, Diggs himself said that he isn't ready to name a favorite just yet. He also said he is open to schools that haven't offered him yet. He plans on narrowing it top a top 10 and eventually to a top 5. The article had other comments from him about Nebraska, but it was written for a Husker sight so take it FWIW.

    ---------------

What are your thoughts on those comments? It seems like he might be willing to wait it out for the big instate schools to offer.
