I hope he qualifies and plays next year but, the majority seems to thinks JUCO. It was more of a question. I wasn't speculating. Were Plexico and Thomas comitted to MSU before they went to JUCO?

DT was not committed to MSU before he went JUCO, and in fact grew up a UM fan.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Pretty sure Saban did steer Plax to Fork Union or whichever prep school he attended. Somewhere in VA I believe.

I do not believe that Thomas was ever committed to Michigan, if I can recall correctly. I do not even think that Michigan had recruited him.
I think his UofM fandom had something to do with him going to Ann Arbor Huron and growing up in Ann Arbor, if I'm not mistaken.
Unfortunately, UofM does not (or rarely) takes JuCos....Would've loved to have Thomas on the field.

They have plenty of tutors for him... and are willing to take him through summer classes if need be. It's about the kid putting in the effort, and I'm getting that directly from someone who has spoken to Herrington - who has said all along that his core grades are on very shaky ground.
It's Farmington Hills Harrison. They wouldn't let the kid flounder in the classroom. The truth is that it falls on the student at some point.

As a graduate of a school in the Farmington Public Schools district, I agree. FPS has many faults, but lacking academic strength is not one of them. It comes down on Burbridge to make the grade.

From his perspective, yes. From MSU Football's perspective, our #1 ranked recruit might not be a 4 year player for us....And at a position of extreme need too. That kind of sucks.

true enough, but some kids aren't cut out for college (yeah, I know hundreds gain admission every year that don't belong there, but this isn't the SEC folks). Is that the case here? I have no idea, but I'm obviously rooting hard for the kid. He has everything he needs to succeed at this point. As other posters have said: get it DONE Aaron!

See why we were still pushing for Madaris to commit? The staff knew about this the whole time.
Arnett, Madaris, Kings and Kerrick is still a solid crop of receivers for a class. Burbridge was just the headliner on a deep WR class, but it's still a WR class with some depth. My guess now is that Kerrick will not redshirt. With Mumphrey, AJ Sims, Fowler, Arnett, Caesar, Lippett, Kerrick and possibly some Jakubik, my guess is that Madaris and Kings will both redshirt unless one of them completely blows the staff away starting in the fall (possible). I still think Burbridge will be here at some point but this kid is going to have to come in another way. Trey Metoyer (Oklahoma) did prep school and it worked for him. That could be an option too.
