    That's what i'm thinking. I don't blame Jackson for verballing rather than being left out to dry. I really hope this means we land Winston though.

The provision of complimentary admissions to a prospect student athlete during a dead period is prohibited, except by prospective student athlete who visits an institution as part of a group.”

    thats the NCAA definition of dead period, so maybe shooting him a text would be allowed.

  • I saw the Jackson verbal stuff in a Twitter feed started by n Iowa assistant coach. He didn't name Jackson specifically, but all tweets that followed said it was Jackson.

  • As of a few minutes ago, Jackson texted an Iowa recruiting expert by saying that "Iowa's back in it, but I'm not committed anywhere yet"

    you guys won't like this but............I'm with spartan80.....this could backfire IF Winston doesn't come but you know what? I like it....we aren't SETTLING any more: they are going balls out for some of the best fargin' recruits in the nation: sometimes it means waiting....flex

    If that was the case, Julian Pinnix-Odrick wouldn't be visiting MSU this weekend.

    MSU staff must not feel good about Dodson or Winston since we only have one spot left.

    Not necessarily bad news re: Winston. Could be he's pondering & staff is continuing to recruit til the bell.

    His brother is Jared Odrick who was drafted in the 1st round and his agent is Drew Rosenhaus. Interesting news on his bro.

    Could be I suppose, but if the last spot was filled, I don't think we get this visit from JPO.

    FWIW, I hope we get JPO. Love his film, and with 'Cuse taking Hilliard today, it seems we could get a verbal here.

    and Syracuse has 5 committed DEs right now. Looks better for us if JPO doesn't want to stick around and Rutgers and we have a spot for him.... The next few days should be interesting to say the least..
