If he's athletics enough to play TE now and really is 6'5" and 280#, I would imagine he could probably project to an OT in college.

The offer to Augusta prior to his visit was a pre-emptive strike by MSU since he is also visiting UM and ND this week.

247 says he is at ND and Mich today. MSU tomorrow. With some of the other prospects visiting, should be a good chance to make an impression and for him to get to know some future spartans

my take on him is he has enormous talent (equal to anyone that OSU or UM has pulled in) but has some grade issues at this juncture - is that accurate? He looks legit.

I haven't read anything regarding his grades. He has offers listed from most of the B1G, ND, Cal, ect. so I'm assuming he's probably in good shape.

He has academic issues definitely, CBD has stated multiple times on his Recruiting Wishlists that we would not be able to take his verbal if he were to try to commit right now....work in the classroom to be done.

I would take his commit just because his talent/abilities is huge!! Just like we would make room for a five star player if we were full on ships. Basically did it in last year class ex.) Aaron Burbridge!!

Augusta now seems to be on track in getting his grade issues resolved. That's a good sign in his recruitment. Good for him no matter where he decides to go to college.
Hopefully, he takes an official visit to MSU and is able to interact with other MSU coaches besides Roushar and meet the current Spartan players, especially some of Narduzzi's Spartan Dawgs.

Has a top 4 of Illinois, MSU, Missouri and Oklahoma...in no particular order. Plans to take OVs to those four and decide after his senior year. Noticeably absent from his list is Iowa. In my opinion he will wind up in the B1G. Proxomity to home is a big advantage for Illinois, but hopefully that doesn't end up being the determining factor.
