I think MSU is taking 1 WR this year and whomever it is will probably be a good one.
Treadwell's a heck of a talent, and the whole "be the only player at your position in our class" is a pretty nice pitch. I don't know why he's reportedly enamored with Michigan, but those reports were before he visited EL.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Looks like a UM guy. With the amount of WR talent we brought in last year and us most likely getting Corey Smith this year, it will be hard to convince a WR with a lot of offers to come here.

Where did you see MSU would likely sign Smith?
Edit: Found some chatter on this. Apparently he's getting looks as an ATH. May not impact WR recruiting if the staff is trying to sign him as a DB. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Jimmy is right. Smith will probably be coming to MSU after this year. He plays for a JUCO school in MS. Narduzzi has been in frequent contact with him and he might be playing a little on both sides of the ball. We still are only taking one WR and consider Smith as an ATH.
Whoever we get will be a good one.

Yeah, SEC schools are starting to do that. I read about one 4 star recruit from Illinois that said he got mail from Auburn and they never contacted him before and there was no family connection with the program. I guess the SEC is throwing darts at every high rated recruit and if one sticks they start selling.

Good wide receivers like playing on a team with other good wide receivers because they can create opportunities for one another. The competition probably won't be a discouragement.

Whooooooooooooooole lotta UM love on his Twitter and frequent chats/RTs with UM commits. Also lists UM as "warmer" on his 247 page with OSU as "warm" and the others cold. Hmph.

The word was he was hanging out with Shane Morris this weekend. We need to lock up a QB soon in this class so who ever it is going to be can help recuit like Morris has for UM.

He was scheduled to visit Oklahoma but severe weather on those outer rings of the midwest forced him to cancel the trip and he decided to go back to michigan because he was in the frame of mind to go on a visit.
