The long snapper Pepper received the full 2012 ride. Jack Conklin the OT recruit out of Plainfield came in as a greyshirt.

I knew a MSU punter who was pretty dickish in college. But, he was tough as nails and could boom it (and went pro). I wasn't thrilled with the guy personally, but I was happy he was our our side on the field.
No way I'd label JJ's personality from his tweets. But, if he's a little outspoken and confident at his age, I don't see those traits as harmful to the program. I hope he gets his offer and lives up to expectations. I will say that he appears to take his craft very seriously.

The staff wants to get a look in practice at walk-on K Evan Fischer before they decide whether or not to use a 2013 scholarship on a K.
They actually hope to go the preferred walk-on route for a K in 2013.

J J is a great prospect but I do know this much... Evan Fischer is VERY good. This is such a tough year due to scholarship limitations but hopefully J J lands a spot!

I noticed all of the "go blue" now on his twitter. Man is he angry with us for not offering yet. This kicker thing will work itself out. This is no longer interesting enough to devote any attention to. Back to the OL/DL panic.

His "go blue"s are him retweeting people, mainly his friend who is the LS that Michigan offered.

Are there any articles out there saying he has offers or walk-on opportunities from any of these schools besides Michigan? I know he's been places to kick at camps, but besides MSU and Michigan it sounds like he's just throwing names out there.

Will be at the game this weekend.
Hearing from UM, Bama and LSU in addition to MSU. Sounds like all the schools involved are letting some other pieces fall together before deciding to offer a scholarship or just offer a pref. walk on spot.
Has already kicked a 54 and 57 yarder this year. Dude's got a leg...

He did, but the last time I checked he has 0 offers, not even from MAC schools. Kid bashed MSU on his Twitter over the summer too
