I read about a spring practice visit for him a week from today. The update also said that OSU will hold off on offering him until he camps with them. I believe MSU is still number one on his list, and if I had to guess, Dantonio will most likely tell him next week that this class is quickly filling up and he is number one on their list of CB's. Reading the RCR this week it mentioned that Coach D gave Shane Jones until 5pm yesterday to commit, that screams to me that the staff knows it will be a smaller class and they are letting all of their plan A kids know they better jump on board soon, or get left out. Hope Hicks goes green next week.

The Urban legend will continue to slow play Hicks who desperately wants an O$U offer.
Hicks just doesn't realize that he is a Plan B recruit for O$U.
Hicks will not receive an O$U offer unless they miss on several other CB's they have already offered.

I would be very wary of a kid that you know wants an OSU offer and has any chance of getting it. Dont want to jeopardize the position thinking he is committed only to have him flip.

People need to give it a rest already, we've lost 1 recruit to them that has committed and he was never a solid verbal. MD has had a grand total of 3 recruits de commit and go to other schools. If I guy commits to us, I am 99% sure he's sticking with us.

If MD has Hicks #1, he is a stud, pure and simple and other schools would be stupid not to offer him because he's probably going to be an All B1G player if Dantonio is so high on him.

Is there a reason he is attending Tuesday's spring practice rather than the Spring Game 4 days later? It'd be nice to have him there while some of our commits are there so they could lean on him.

On the other hand: My hope is that maybe it's an effort to give one more big push prior to other CB recruits being on campus for the Spring Game and possibly trying to accept an offer. If Dantonio can say "I can't guarantee your spot once Saturday rolls around", (similar to the Jones situation, like Jizzy mentioned) maybe that will entice him to pull the trigger.

Then again, maybe Tuesday is the only time Hicks is available to visit.

No reason to panic or leap to the negative here. We've seen this scenario play out favorably for the Spartans many times before. MSU doesn't need immediate commits, just solid commits from solid players.
