'13 PA QB Damion Terry (MSU Verbal)

  • Terry really impressed some people at that Elite 11 camp.

He's still unranked on Rivals too.

    Macks

  • That's a pretty significant bump.

    Really excited about this kid.

They seem to take longer to update things. I wouldn't be surprised either way. Knowing his skill I wouldn't be surprised to see him as a 4 star, but knowing rivals I wouldn't be surprised if they kept him at 3.

The same scout that moved Caleb to "soft verbal"...does not hold much water but should get some people off in the meantime

whoah, didn't see that bump coming.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Wasn't really a bump, from what I recall he wasn't ranked at all prior to this.

  • Hopefully they decide the midwest E11 camp was just ridiculously deep and he gets an invite to Malibu.

Anyone know if this is a recruiting trip?

  • Given how vocal Damion has been regarding his commitment to MSU, including reaching out to other recruits, I would be shocked if he was looking somewhere else. Also, given how high his profile is rising, I would think that a visit would be reported by some outlet somewhere.

Unless we hear otherwise, I'm going to assume that it has nothing to do with recruiting and that he's Green and White all the way.

Both the Dallas and Atlanta E11 camp MVPs are ranked lower than Terry on ESPN, for what it's worth.

Does this mean he's probably not as mobile or as fluid an athlete as we all hoped?afro

THIS is why we should not be posting about tweets. What if you hadn't noticed that and posted it here? Some idiot would have been on here ranting and raving about "OMG WHY WOULD HE WANT TO SEE UT?!?!! HE'S GOING TO DECOMMIT!! EVERYBODY COMMIT SEPPUKU!!!!"

I read the question about a possible visit to UT, googled his twitter and then figured it out.. It wasn't hard.

    Friday's District 10 football highlights, Aug. 31 | GoErie.com/Erie Times-News

Senior running back Jake Pound started the season with a strong performance Friday night as Harbor Creek rekindled its rivalry with Iroquois with a 13-0 win at Paul J. Weitz Stadium. In the first meeting between the teams since 2004, Pound ran for 158 yards on 26 carries and scored both touchdowns in a game billed as the 'Battle for the Bridge.' Pound opened the scoring midway through the first quarter when he rumbled into the end zone from 2 yards out. Anthony Concilla made the extra-point kick to put the Huskies ahead 7-0. Both defenses held until the third quarter when Pound extended the Harbor Creek lead on a 32-yard touchdown run. A two-point conversion run failed.

  • Cathedral Prep rolls to win against region rival Strong Vincent
    By TOM REISENWEBER, Erie Times-News
    tom.reisenweber@timesnews.com

Opposing defenses are still trying to find ways to keep pressure on Cathedral Prep quarterback Damion Terry.

But before Terry could even attempt his second pass Friday night, his teammates gave him a 21-point lead to relieve that pressure.

Prep scored five touchdowns in the first half and Terry reached 4,000 career passing yards as the Ramblers routed Strong Vincent 48-22 in a Region 6 showdown in front of more than 3,000 fans at Veterans Stadium.

Terry tacked on two more touchdown passes in the first half and finished with 265 yards and four touchdowns. A big part of his success was strong play by the offensive line, which gave him plenty of time to find an open receiver.

Terry now has 4,177 yards and is the only Prep quarterback in school history to reach the 4,000-yard mark.

"It's a really big accomplishment because there have been so many great quarterbacks before me at Prep," Terry said. "I just hope to keep improving as the season goes on."
