Cedar Cliff TE Adam Breneman sets date to announce college choice

The 6-5, 225-pound Breneman, rated No. 1 at his position in the country for the class of 2013, has done all the homework he feels is necessary.

So on Thursday afternoon, Breneman informed The Patriot-News via text message and the rest of the college football world on Twitter that he’s ready to make his decision.

Breneman has scheduled a press conference for Friday, Mar. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Cedar Cliff High School gymnasium to reveal where he will play his college football and continue his academic career. The announcement is open to the public.

With more than 30 offers and counting on the table, Breneman has narrowed it down to the four schools he feels best suit him as an athlete and student.

Maryland, Ohio State, Penn State and Notre Dame is the quartet in the running for the highly coveted and versatile tight end.

The No. 1 ranked tight end in the country for the class of 2013, Breneman went with the Nittany Lions over Ohio State, Notre Dame and Maryland.
