Probably really liked MSU but already had plans to attend the Wisky camp and figured he'd check it out before committing.

I can only assume that felt more at home with MSU and decided to commit after the camp was over.

This. Chmura said he didn't get the same love as at the MSU camp. Dantonio & Co. made Chmura feel at home.

...Also heard his dad had some pretty funny comments regarding Boston College, I wasn't able to read them but it would be awesome if someone here could fill me in on the jist of what he said. TIA

Welcome to the family Dylan!

His frame is excellent, and provides plenty of room for added weight. Now I just hope he is able to stay healthy and have a breakout senior season, it undoubtably runs in his blood.

Here is my analysis of Dylan Chmura :

TE Dylan Chmura (6'-6", 225 lbs.) - MSU began recruiting him when he was a HS Soph. and stayed in contact with him even though he missed his Jr. season due to injury. He has the frame to get much bigger and stronger working with Ken Mannie and the S & C staff. The MSU staff was impressed with his skill in blocking technique for a HS player, showing he knows how to use leverage and has good footwork. He has big hands and can snatch the ball out of the air. He is adept at running precise pass routes. He was the best TE prospect at MSU's Rising Stars Camp and stood out among a very solid group of TE prospects at this camp. He will be red-shirted.
Note : This evaluation is based on his performance at MSU's camp.

Rated as a 76 by 247. Basically has no junior tape so i'd say it's pretty tough to rate him in terms of actual competition. I'd expect that rating to go up by NSD.

Based on what CBD said about Dylan, and the coaches quick offer after watching him camp, that's all I need to know. MSU will end up w/ a 3.x average star ranking, and I'll pretty much expect the kids to perform on the field as if the average were a 4 star.

The guy gets info from Dave Berk. He has no connections otherwise. I have no problem with him, but he is not an insider by any means.

Dylan left the 1st quarter of his 1st game back since ACL injury.

Nothing yet. They play again on friday so maybe some more news is available then

That's up to Dantonio if he wants to honor the scholarship or not.

Hopefully since there isn't much news it means he's okay. If he hurt his knee again i would think there would be some more news. but he didn't return to the game
