ND way out in front early on this guy. We've got ground to make up. During the contact period Hoke swung through his HS with mattison as well. Sounds like a Vandy offer could come sooner than later.

Isn't this the same school Arthur Ray went to?
Would hope how much support MSU gave Arthur we would have a leg up on this kid.

I doubt a kid who graduated before Enoch was a freshman will even be remembered on Enoch.
It might be remembered on the teachers or principle, but not on a kid who was probably 14 or 15 when Ray commited

The article changed my entire perception. ND has been way out in front but his conversations with ARJ and the storyline about his brother and Sparty was kind of neat. Those little things can have a huge impact. The past weeks developments give me reason to think we're really gonna be in this.

He's had two memorable life experiences associated with MSU very recently. It's going to depend on whether or not Narduzzi takes over the recruitment.

Here is my analysis of Enoch Smith, Jr.
DL Enoch Smith, Jr. (6'-3", 265 lbs.) - Plays DE in his HS team's 3-4 defense but projects to 3-technique DT at the next level in a 4-3 defense. Plays with a high motor and is relentless in pursuit. Can anchor at the point of attack and looks naturally strong. Knows how to use his hands and use his athleticism to shed blockers. Right now he is more of a bull rusher in the pass rush but he has all the tools you are looking for and will benefit from college level coaching to refine his DL technique. He is a competitor and helped take his HS team to the IL 8A state championship in 2012. Could contribute as a true Fr. because he comes from a high level HS program in IL (Mt. Carmel) and has received good coaching.

I'd be pretty damn impressed if he played as a true freshman. Guys ahead of him: Kittredge, LT, Knox, Clemons, Scarpinato, Fennell, Salmon, Jones, Bodanis.
