'14 IL LB Clifton Garrett (MSU offer)

This sounds promising. There are 2 position groups that we seem to be dong really well in recruiting. WR and LB. Now if only we could start landing some of those premier trench guys on both sides of the ball. Lyles and LT ending up in the DL will alleviate some of those concerns. I could see LT actually ending up in the interior DL considering how much weight gain he has made. Lyles looks like a reshirt year in the weight room and then a DE next year.

WOW. Really glad to hear that. I'm not a Twitter buff at all but I started watching his after he made all those nice MSU comments. Last night he made a comment about Ohio State "not letting him on the field" (or at least charging people money to do so) and he posted a picture with Urban Meyer. He didn't seem to have nearly the number of tweets or excitement behind them as he did with MSU.
For all I know he learned to stay quiet until he takes more trips. I dunno. But for whatever it's worth I thought I would pass it along.

FWIW, it rained and they didn't have a lot of fan support. They invited tons of top talent from the south, ala Urbie, and some of them went to Florida instead. I guess the turnout wasn't a great one and the vibe was kind of dead. Granted, some of that is coming from michiagan posters, but they were qouting pretty credible guys who said it was not a very dynamic environment.

sorry for the slight hijack. but watching Garrett's film is just dirty. He has some of the best fundamentals from a Sophomore that i've seen. Imagine a defense with of R. Bullough, Reschke, Jones, and Garrett playing behind Adams (), Lyles (if he moves to DE), Fennell, and Salmon. Thrown in a secondary of Hicks, Powell, Cox, and Edmondson, and this defense is going to bring a lot of speed and athleticism.
