I think he also had a brother that wrestled at UM. His dad played for a Big Ten school (Illinois, maybe?) and I think he had another brother or maybe an uncle that wrestled at yet another Big Ten school. Kid has connections to more than just MSU but I love the early work MSU has put in here. Kid is a freaking stud. Short, so that may keep him undervalued nationally (that's more than fine by me).

Iowa/Wisconsin are always dangerous when you're talking OL. They have solid track records of development and putting OL into the NFL.

Iowa, Michigan State, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois are his top 5. He's said he doesn't really have favorites right now

I'm pretty sure after he sees a bunch of games this year we'll be his favorite.

Not that worried when he's saying things like this:
“Michigan State just has a family atmosphere,” Allen said. “Every time I visit there they just make me feel welcomed. Since the first time I visited [Notre Dame game, 2010] you could tell that a lot of special things are happening. I’ve gotten to know a lot of the other players on the team like my brother’s roommates and it’s just like a family there. I already feel like I’m part of it.”

This is the only time I have seen the 247 ranking not match the composite rankings. Not too sure what that means.
Either way he has a pretty solid offer list very early on.

Not being smart ass, serious question, but how the hell does that work? He's only a three star on 247, but they do a composite of just their rankings and he's a four star? More of a composite rating question because I don't doubt your comment that he's not rated anywhere else.

The composite rating is based on the average number of players at each "star level" among different services. Apparently 247 has named fewer four-stars so far than their "national average" number.
