If and when MSU were to offer, there is a very good chance he would be a Spartan.
His dad (former Spartan LB Jim Morrissey) and his mom are MSU alums.
He plays S and WR for his HS team. MSU is recruiting him as a S but he is already 6'-3" and may grow into a LB like his dad.
He may camp at MSU this summer.
Note : His older brother plays at BC.

Matt Morrissey Is Next In Line

Lincolnshire (IL) Stevenson 2014 safety Matt Morrissey has several family ties to Michigan State. The Spartans are showing early interest as well as Michigan and Northwestern.

The kids got quick feet and a great frame to add weight. Morrissey has the opportunity to bulk up, while keeping his speed. Not to mention he has significant experience in pass coverage. Could make for a killer OLB.

I feel like CBD might have to answer that. At 6'3" you have to think that the staff at least considered recruiting him as a STAR. It should depend on how fast and how well he moves in coverage if they feel he can be a safety.

I was actually thinking SS in about the 210-215lb range. Is it his height that's got you thinking OLB or his top end? He seems to be pretty good in coverage. Honestly. It doesn't hurt to add him as an ATH and figure it out. I know we've taken quite a few of those 6'0-6'3" "tweeners" that look like they could do more than one thing but those guys have alot of of value to me. I don't know, what are your thoughts?
