Write it down, if he is injured that virtually guarantees he will commit to MSU when it comes time to make his decision...oh wait, they get injured after committing most of the time don't they.

Michigan State Staff Making Team Effort For Malik McDowell

Mark Dantonio and his staff are making the effort to land Malik McDowell a total team effort on the part of the coaching staff, and McDowell is definitely listening.

Not saying I agree or disagree but why would this help our chances with Malik? Are they best friends or something? Could just be me, but I would like our chances with Malik just as much if not more if Gholston had that monster 14 sack 25 TFL season we all were hoping for and and went top 15 in the draft than him having the solid season that he is having and coming back.

I think they are saying since he didn't have the monster year this year, if he came back he is more likely to terrorize and go even higher in the draft next year, thus raising the profile of that positional vacancy within our defense and make committing to us in 2014 more attractive.

Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio was inside the halls of Detroit (Mich.) Loyola on Wednesday, home of touted 2014 DL Malik McDowell. He left an impression.

We may not have the shady boosters of the SEC and OSU, but having Izzo for these duel sport athletes is a heck of a blessing
