IMO your post goes too far

Needless to say... Sam Webb is as biased as they come. He has a Love for scUM like Kirstie Alley does for cake

And doesn't belong in the Damon Webb thread!

Sam Webb is a slappy fanboy disguised as a journalist. The fact he is employed by detnews shows what a sham reporting has become. His praise of a certain scUM QB commit is reminiscent of Jerry Sandusky's interest in at risk children of The Second Mile.

Maybe take the next couple of plays off there Champ.

  • Sam Webb is a self proclaimed UM "Super Fan". His career started as a regular fan on a UM internet message board. He posted so frequently and so passionately about UM that they eventually made him a mod ... and the rest is history.

That post may be rude but it isn't inaccurate. I have no problem with Sam Webb writing about UM; they are his greatest love in this world and I'm happy for him that he gets to cover them.

But I admit that I get a little offended every time he writes about MSU - even when he is trying to be objective. The reality is, Sam Webb hates MSU. Even if he is trying to be objective, deep down he hates MSU. He should never be allowed to write about MSU in the paper. It would be like Matt Dorsey writing articles on UM.

Not to mention, if a recruit so much as says they have seen um play before, he turns it into them being a "life-long uofm fan".

  • Damon Webb loved the game, loved the way Dennard and Adams played, talked extensively with the coaches after the game. He will be back for "at least" the Notre Dame and Ohio St games. Three games? Hmmm

Rico Beard says MSU seems to be quickly overtaking UM as the instate choice - however, Rico thinks LSU is definitely the team to beat.

Overtaking UM as the instate choice regarding Webb? Or, in general?

  • Lol regarding Webb. hate to say it but, without a serious implosion, UM is going to be very strong recruiting instate

There are good vibes early from Webb regarding MSU, but it's still going to be a hell of a battle. Going head to head against LSU/UM/OSU is tough, no matter who you are, and there's sure to be more horses entering the race.

He seems to be giving MSU serious consideration in regards to how he'd fit in. Additionally, his family seems to be impressed with MSU. Webb may very well go elsewhere, but as it stands today, MSU sits pretty well IMO.

  • With Finley already in the fold, and being the favorite to land Drake I would say that we have a very good shot at getting Webb. Beating michigan and OSU will be big, and if Adams goes early in the draft I think we have as good a shot as anyone.

  • This is technically a write up about his visit to scum yesterday, but his comments are tepid and he seams higher on MSU.

“I don’t want to say they furthered the bar, but today I saw what Michigan was about,” Webb said. He checks in as the nation’s No. 16 cornerback and No. 192 prospect overall in the class-of-2014.

    ...

Webb attended the Spartans season-opening victory over Boise State and he plans to be back on campus next weekend for the Notre Dame game.

“That was great,” Webb said of his first visit to Michigan State this fall. “The atmosphere was great. The game was hype. Afterwards I met with the coaches.”

Obviously didn't copy and paste the quotes on his thoughts on the crowd and atmosphere at Michigan. Pretty much said the same thing about MSU's visit last week.

for "at least" 2 more huge home games? Thats sounds very promising. Sounds like a big recruiting battle, but i have to believe Adams and Denard will get the kid fired up for what MSU does in the secondary.
