Sam Webb is a slappy fanboy disguised as a journalist. The fact he is employed by detnews shows what a sham reporting has become. His praise of a certain scUM QB commit is reminiscent of Jerry Sandusky's interest in at risk children of The Second Mile.

Sam Webb is a self proclaimed UM "Super Fan". His career started as a regular fan on a UM internet message board. He posted so frequently and so passionately about UM that they eventually made him a mod ... and the rest is history.
That post may be rude but it isn't inaccurate. I have no problem with Sam Webb writing about UM; they are his greatest love in this world and I'm happy for him that he gets to cover them.
But I admit that I get a little offended every time he writes about MSU - even when he is trying to be objective. The reality is, Sam Webb hates MSU. Even if he is trying to be objective, deep down he hates MSU. He should never be allowed to write about MSU in the paper. It would be like Matt Dorsey writing articles on UM.

Damon Webb loved the game, loved the way Dennard and Adams played, talked extensively with the coaches after the game. He will be back for "at least" the Notre Dame and Ohio St games. Three games? Hmmm
Rico Beard says MSU seems to be quickly overtaking UM as the instate choice - however, Rico thinks LSU is definitely the team to beat.

This is technically a write up about his visit to scum yesterday, but his comments are tepid and he seams higher on MSU.
“I don’t want to say they furthered the bar, but today I saw what Michigan was about,” Webb said. He checks in as the nation’s No. 16 cornerback and No. 192 prospect overall in the class-of-2014.
...
Webb attended the Spartans season-opening victory over Boise State and he plans to be back on campus next weekend for the Notre Dame game.
“That was great,” Webb said of his first visit to Michigan State this fall. “The atmosphere was great. The game was hype. Afterwards I met with the coaches.”

Your average UofM fan and I have something in common, neither of us went to UofM. Though we do share One major difference, I got Accepted.
