Our biggest challenge from NW very well could be the academic aspect. A lot of kids give it lip service, but I think Watkins genuinely cares about academics.
MSU is am outstanding institution, but Northwestern is one of the top in the country, and the class of the B1G academically.
I would favor MSU regarding the combination of academics+football, but we'll have to see.
An interesting note is that Northwestern will be wrapping up a pretty spectacular lakeside facility, whole MSU is breaking ground on a great stadium expansion this spring. Certainly an exciting time for both programs.

This is no longer a top 5. Wisconsin is back in this. VIP article on Badger 247. The dad is really concerned with early playing time and has basically said they're receiver core is a bunch of busters. I'll provide a very brief qoute so not to violate protocol. "They're telling him he has a chance to make an impact as a true freshman and looking at their roster we believe them," Heath Watkins explained. "He's always liked them. A lot of bad luck happened with Coach (Bret) Bielema leaving and Coach (Zach) Azzani leaving and Coach Rudolph leaving for Pitt, and we kind of gave up on it."
