Wow, this kid is special! His initial burst is just craaaaaaaaaazy!
Welcome to MSU Noah!
Impressive Sr film.
"Stats are for Losers." - Pat "Nardawg" Narduzzi
Received an 84, mid-3-star rating from 247 sports.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Welcome to MSU, Noah!
Here is my analysis of Noah Jones :
DT Noah Jones (6'-3.25", 277 lbs.) - Has a quick first step and can explode off the line of scrimmage and penetrate into the backfield. Plays with intensity and has a high motor. Stays in pursuit on plays away from him. Can anchor at the point of attack and hold the line of scrimmage. Looks very strong and can overpower and shed blockers. Has quickness and agility and is fairly athletic for his size. Will be red-shirted to gain additional size and strength and learn the techniques of playing DT at the next level.
Here are his Sr. highlights :
Now with a PhD in Applied Llama Physics...
Not sure why my post was put as a VIP, this is in response to Rocky...
Wow, doesn't sound like he has a lot of downside! I guess the only thing is if he can keep his athleticism when putting on some weight.
laconophilia is everywhere...
2 star now on Rivals.
Mike Farrell is such an asshole
After watching some non-highlight video, it is obvious he does not consistently get off the ball like a lightning bolt as he does so often on his highlight video. He must've been guessing the snap count on many of those. Still, most guys still don't have the quickness at that size to take advantage as well as he does. An impressive package of natural size, speed and coordination. If he can add another 30 pounds and maintain most of his speed, while developing better technique...watch out!
Noah Jones has had to shut his cell phone off because so many schools are now in pursuit of him since MSU offered him and he committed to them.
CBD do you have any word as to which schools? It's amazing what happens to a kid's offers and interests once Coach D offers.

Fight for the only colors, Green and White!
How soon before they hire private detectives to follow MSU coaches around... this is getting out of hand.
Same thing happened last year when MSU offered David Fennell. Wash., Wash St. and Ore. St. all tried to get in on him late.
Thing is the kid was on the all state OR D, first team I think. It wasn't like he'd played under the radar w/ no press, or in the boondocks somewhere. He was in the largest metro area in the state.
I DID think of Fennell as well CBD and spartan80 has a point about Fennell's area and being all state, however it isn't a hot bed for high school football and as I recall he was a late bloomer after having played in Canada....it'll be real interesting to see where both these kids are 3 seasons from now: hopefully starting but you never know. Diamonds in the rough for now I guess.
