Perhaps because we weren't much in the discussion for him? You don't hear much about plenty of 5/4/3 star players.
We've been in the discussion almost his entire recruitment. There hasn't been a peep on him in months because of grade issues. It's been talked about on a few different boards. The fan base for all three or four schools in it all feel the same way we do.
Thx for that update on his top 4. Also noticeably absent, scUM? They offered pretty early but never got into the Frey on this one.
UM filled up at his position early on...just like they filled up at most positions with their crazy recruiting haul back in Feb/March. From MSU's standpoint, it is a good thing that he is waiting until after his season to make a decision. I think if he were to decide now, he'd pick Illinois. MSU needs to get him on an OV, which he has said will happen....wow him on that visit...and then let him see the stark contrast between MSU's season and Illinois'. That could be enough to get him to come more than a couple hours from home.
Of course, then the question becomes....do they make room for him if he waits until Dec. to decide? They may be full at DE and DT...so do they view him as a high enough priority that they make the space? I can't answer that one.
It's almost a given that the number of available 'ships will fluctuate between now and signing day.
Normally that is true...the thing you have to understand though is that based on current roster projections, MSU is already at 86 players for 2013 with 11 kids committed. Every one they take from now to signing day is going to add to that. Will there be some attrition? Sure, there will be. But if they take 4 more players, then you are already requiring 5 scholarships to come available by next August just to get down to the 85 man limit. Point being, that a player is going to have to be extra special this year to warrant taking after you've already filled up.
He also is supposedly a pretty impressive TE.
Soufflé, I'm straight, I scrape my plate/,Sade, I'm a smooth operator... I DROP TOP MY WHIP!
Probably full at TE as well
Lang looks like he is healthy and we were thinking he may retire. In all honesty not havin ienough schollies is a good thing. It means your roster is full of B1G caliber players.
If we can land Mr Cooper, Mr Augusta and Adams, Woooo, I'll do back flips!

A visit with us will seal the deal!
Augusta's already taken an unofficial to EL. If he really wanted the spot, he should get in touch w/Roushar ASAP.
Peko, Augusta & Dunbar are fighting for 1, maybe 2 spots. Augusta's versatility definitely plays in his favor but Hayes and Cooper going green this past week doesn't help any of these 3 uncommitted guys.
We can't really go wrong with any of these 3 guys - all studs w/good upside. Landing one would be sweet; 2 would be icing on the cake for this class.
To bad we have a small class this year. I REALLY wish we could take all three.
