Let's continue the tradition. I had no idea that we had offered.
Love these Samoan linemen. They are absolute physical maulers.
Any idea how many yrs of eligibility he has left?
The big fella' from Samoa!!
I know the family tradition here. What I'm confused about is why they all go to JC first? Anyone know off hand?
Domata and Tupe Peko starred at MSU and enjoyed further success in the NFL. Does anyone know if this is a cousin or brother?
"Stats are for Losers." - Pat "Nardawg" Narduzzi
Probably a bit of the late bloomers. This kid was an ok high school player with not a lot of offers. Some people mature later and it seems that he is one of those. Dont think that either of the Peko brothers (Situpe and Damato) were very highly recruited either out of high school.
I had posted an article a while back and he was a pretty lightly recruited kid at that point (just had the Peko bloodline). Now offered by the Big Ten power MSU, as well as Tenn and Pitt.
Better to get them to play like a four/five star college player than a guy who has peaked at his 4/5 stars in high school.

I would totally agree. Great thoughts. Thanks.
3 years to play 2
The Spartan staff has discussed Kyle with current Spartan Fou Fonoti who is also Kyle's cousin. The staff has known about Kyle for quite awhile.
Assistant coach Mark Staten has a good relationship with the coaching staff at Cerritos JC. Coach Staten visited Cerritos recently and offered Kyle.
MSU has a very good chance with Kyle based on his family's tradition with MSU.
Also, Fou Fonoti's younger brother is a DE at Cerritos.
MSU has a legacy pipeline to Cerritos JC.
Apparently they're not actual cousins, but just good family friends, FWIW. It would appear they're looking for Peko to step in and be a contributor from day one.
This school put three DL kids into D1 programs last year alone. Not a bad place to recruit from...
Well Kyle's basically family already. Get his ass an official against Boise and show him where his locker will be.
Soufflé, I'm straight, I scrape my plate/,Sade, I'm a smooth operator... I DROP TOP MY WHIP!
Dude is 6'4 280 already. Gotta think he might end up a DT at some point or would be more of a 3-4 DE.
he looks just like Fou. I love these dudes. Big, strong, work hard. How can you go wrong?
Do not care that he's a JUCO, Peko's have been good to us.
It's kind of amazing that MSU has a family and JC pipeline all wrapped up into one, not to mention how spectacular the pipeline has been so far.
It is, and so far a pipeline in to the NFL with pretty good careers (1 retired & 1 playing). I think Fou has a chance to be a good o-linemen (whatever position he plays) in the NFL as well.

I could have been a Rhodes Scholar, except for my grades. -Duffy Daugherty
I agree, and 2 years to play 3 would put him in the same class as Kittredge, in which we only have 1 DT currently.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
agree: serious ass kickers. The kind of dudes you'd want in a fox hole with you.
Anybody know the status on this now?
Gonna take an official in the fall with Fou as his host.
If USC offers, he gone, but I can't see that happening with their limited scholarship numbers.
We have a good chance here I think assuming the staff is still pursuing him.
USC is pulling basically who they want so I doubt Peko gets an offer but you're right if they offers he gone.
